I'm glad that I joined the laid back Marine Corp. and only had to visit y'alls house once. :whistling: :rotf:

"laid back?, In the mid '60's when I was on the USS Dodge County we hauled a lot of marines back and forth thru the Panama Canal for jungle training before heading to 'Nam. I don't think I ever saw any laid back Marines. You folks were mostly full tilt boogie!! :thumbsup2:

Sounds like life on the Bonnie Dick. For all you army types that's the USS Bon Homme Richard. CVA31, Not the new one. Makes me old I guess.

When were you on the Bon Homme Richard? My uncle was lost overboard from her in 1965(?). He was a mechanic on an A4 I believe.

 

Did my time in the Corps.
