Brake Pad Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I have made an Inquirer with KOA, If they will discount, nightly stays for the Riders/Guests coming to the 2014 International in Alabama next year. I stayed in an air conditioned Kabin, took Hot Showers, and had a place to cook my dinners every night, while on the road. I saved hundreds of dollars by not staying in a Motel/Hotel during my travels. I basically slept in my own bed, with my own pillows every night. If they will allow me to set up a code word, for the travelers.every campground along your routes of travel would be covered. Lets see what KOA will offer us. ( My fingers are crossed)
ReinyRooster Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 That is a great idea....I'm guessing many of us will be taking two days to get there and could use this option. Thanks for looking into this.
vzuden Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I like the sound of that also. Please keep us posted
b2dad Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 If you could also talk to the hotel / motel people there and see if you couldn't get the rates dropped a little more...$100 is a little steep per night for most people. I think we could get more people to come if the rate was better. Worth a try, maybe?
Skid Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 The KOA Kabins are nice. I've stayed in them several times.

Black Owl Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 And the rooms overlooking the parking lot are only 96.32 per night.

Brake Pad Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 You've obviously NEVER slept in the same cabin as Black Owl! Just a Thought
Black Owl Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 You've obviously NEVER slept in the same cabin as Black Owl! I thought we agreed never to talk about that.
blue mtn. jim Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Hello Brake pad, I would be interested in the KOA cabin idea. Please keep me in mind, thanks Jim
Brake Pad Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 each KOA is independently owned, The only way to get a discount is to buy one of there yearly membership cards. I inquired about multi-cabins in one night from different directions. They said I'd be flagged. I even tried to book 3 cabins, for my guests, that are coming with me, from south Florida, I was told, my card is good for only one cabin a night. I used my KOA card six times already this year, so I got my Membership back on my road trips
