chag67 Posted June 21, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 21, 2013 Is the stock 2007 Venture seat leather or vinyl?
Freebird Posted June 21, 2013 Share #2 Posted June 21, 2013 The stock seat is vinyl. They offered an optional touring seat that was made by Corbin and it was leather.
wizard Posted June 21, 2013 Share #3 Posted June 21, 2013 What is the best treatment for a vinyl seat. All of my older bikes have splits and cracks in the vinyl, and I have used cleaners, ect. on them. I never have had any issues with the leather seats I've had. chag67 Posted June 21, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted June 21, 2013 I use ArmorAll. Keeps it really shiny black and protects it from the sun. I asked my earlier question because I am getting the Day Long seat.

Let us know how you like that seat after you've ridden on it a bit Larry
chag67 Posted June 21, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted June 21, 2013 Will do. But it won't be till late July that I actually order the seat.
XV1100SE Posted June 22, 2013 Share #7 Posted June 22, 2013 I was always told never to put anything other than soap and water on the seat and tires.
sanderjack Posted June 22, 2013 Share #8 Posted June 22, 2013 I have a Day Long seat and love it! My wife is not as happy with it because she likes the softness of the stock seat. It is a one piece design for rider and passenger but very easy to change out.
AngryAmish Posted June 22, 2013 Share #9 Posted June 22, 2013 I use marine wax or leather cleaner. Armorall is too oily
