I was looking into it a few months back when I installed and HID headlight kit. It looks like the problem is having a long enough power wire from the rectifier or whatever the piece is called escapes me right now. And the wire will probably not fit inside the tubing if it was long enough. I sure had a fair amount of wire to roll up if I remember right on my kit. reddevilmedic Posted September 10, 2012 Share #3 Posted September 10, 2012 its the ballast. i havnt seen a yamaha kit, but i have seen hids on a harley rk. and by bar lights, im not sure what you mean...on an 86? i do have hipower led's for driving lights.
