My protected place is, I think , on one of the shelves in my storage room. Got the horn on both bikes and haven't even installed the plastic "L". So far in 3 years no problems. I've seen some run up under the false tank cover (battery area) but if you don't have a maintenance free battery, you may pull in gasses from the battery. djh3 Posted August 14, 2012 Share #4 Posted August 14, 2012 OOPS think I missed that when I put it on the Kawi as it was under the gas tank. On the RSV its (the horn) mounted in the left leg fairing. calperin Posted August 14, 2012 Share #5 Posted August 14, 2012 My protected place is send it up, then above the battery I'm sending it back down for a couple of inches, and cut it there.
