Big_Iz Posted May 13, 2012 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2012 I have a set of fishtail pipes for the RSV that I'm trying to ID before I sell. No identifying marks on it that I have found. RSV mounting tab for under the bags. No seams, can't remove the baffles. I'm thinking Samson, but don't know how to verify. Any thoughts? I'll get some photos posted later this afternoon. cecdoo Posted May 13, 2012 Share #3 Posted May 13, 2012 Look like the Samsons to me, I had a set on mine, they were beautiful on the bike, but way too loud for me. Craig
Big_Iz Posted May 13, 2012 Author Share #4 Posted May 13, 2012 They are definitely loud. I put one on a friend's RSV I was working on yesterday and it was over my tolerable limit. I was thinking of stuffing some expanded steel into the inlet end to break up the sound flow a bit, but I might just sell them and have it over with. Caveman Posted May 14, 2012 Share #5 Posted May 14, 2012 what are you gonna ask for them?
steamer Posted May 14, 2012 Share #6 Posted May 14, 2012 I have the same mufflers, with the same problem, way to loud. I do believe they are sampsons. My set doesn't have any markings either. Strange that there not stamped. I went to a set of 05 RK's.
Big_Iz Posted May 14, 2012 Author Share #7 Posted May 14, 2012 what are you gonna ask for them? Well, I'm looking for either a CD changer or a set of Kury offset pegs for my RSV -- figure I need about $150 so that's what I'll be asking.

JerryK Posted May 18, 2012 Share #9 Posted May 18, 2012 I have CD changer that I had in my 2000 Venture when it was totaled.....It was bought new with the bike in 2000 and in 2004 it was replaced under 5 year warranty because it was bought new on bike and I hit a pot hole and took out the Lazer....It's in Yamaha rubber case for in left saddle bag....I didn't get the original cord from totaled bike but Yamaha gave me the part # for the short CD Changer Cord since I had it on the bike that was totaled....I use XM all the time now and don't use it....Want to trade?
