DANJ Posted December 6, 2007 Share #1 Posted December 6, 2007 With all the weather here I really haven't had a chance to get a good look at how the right side mirror is installed on my 93. Got my new mirror, thanks to a fellow member, and it appears that the mirror is bolted from the inside of the fairing. My question, what is involved in getting to those bolts? Thanks DJ
utadventure Posted December 6, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 6, 2007 Dan I believe the bolts stay in place when you remove the screws from the top. If not, I would suspect that you can open the CLASS access to the overflow bottle and hold them in place that way
sleepy2 Posted December 6, 2007 Share #3 Posted December 6, 2007 There should be two bolts or screws under the rubber cover under the mirror.Remove these or if they are mounted under neith then removing the C/B-- class cover you should be able to get at them from undeneith. Hope this helps

Thanks DJ The mounting bracket is welded to the dash frame. To remove or install a mirror you merely lift the rubber boot from around the mirrors base and use a Phillips screw driver to remove the two screws. Venturous Randy Posted December 7, 2007 Share #7 Posted December 7, 2007 Thanks for all the replys, bet even I could do it. DJ I bet you can too. If you have a problem replacing a mirror on a 1st gen, you don't need a 1st gen. But, it was a good question. RandyA
