Was wondering if anyone has tried other speakers (marine). Because they are waterproof as long as the specs are better they could be used . I'm not in the market since I use J&M headsets most of the time....

Also came across these that are for GoldWing/Venture - http://www.bazooka.com/products/motorcycle/Speakers-C25/Yamaha-Venture-S106/MCC4002---4--Speaker-for-Honda-Gold-Wing-and-Yamaha-Venture-P238

JVC - http://motorcycletunes.com/proddetail.asp?prod=4-JVC

Throw this out as another option... (this for Harley but the idea could be transferred to the Venture) - http://www.motorcyclespeakers.net/shop/bagger-audio-lids-kit-193-prd1.htm

Hey,

I have the same issue with my speakers however a couple of years back I ordered one of those custom molded earplugs with speakers and must say they are the best. At first I wasn't sure but once I wore them a few times I must say they are better than anything I have found otherwise. Even if I don't plug them into the system they work great at just keeping road noise down. I did have to special order a couple of adapters to go from the micro 7 pin on the bike to the 1/8th " stereo jack (Radio Shack couldn't help) but was well worth it.

Just an idea.

I just took out my original speakers today because they sounded like crap. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d101/TJ41/moto_0762.jpg I bought a set from walmart for 23 bucks.http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d101/TJ41/moto_0761.jpg What a improvement. They sound a lot better. I am going to get a set of boat speakers off of ebay for about 30 bucks and mount them on the back. I got both of these ideas from off of this site. Thanks for sharing info!:lightbulb:
