Sideoftheroad Posted April 25, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 25, 2011 Is there anything made like this but for our scoots or will this one work? http://www.ascycles.com/images/products/ztechnik/z6403_ztechnik_antennamountgps.jpg
RedRider Posted April 25, 2011 Share #2 Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) That's roughly how mine is mounted (behind a Zumo550). I bent up an old license plate rather than this fancy, schmancy store bought new fangled thing-a-ma-bob. Now get off my lawn!! (Just releasing my inner crumugin). Found a picture. Sideoftheroad Posted April 26, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted April 26, 2011 Mounted mine under the hood...on top of the cassette box. Never failed me... Magnet hold it in place or did you have to screw it into something? I have to open the hood anyway. Got my Buddy Rich cable in the mail yesterday. Thanks Buddy. Looks great. Can't wait to install. Sleeperhawk Posted April 27, 2011 Share #8 Posted April 27, 2011 Magnet holds it in place, but it does slide when going over major bumps. So, I got some velco, the small round dots (walmart), used four of them, no more sliding on bumps.
Sideoftheroad Posted April 28, 2011 Author Share #9 Posted April 28, 2011 Decided to give a shot and mounted it right on top of the cassette box. Used double sided tape. The inside of the fairing seems to be right on top of the puck so surprised it would move w/out it. Now the only thing is the plastic chrome piece hiding the windshield screws is not flush against the windshield. Not sure if the 2 are related. I wouldn't think so.
