twigg Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 This hitch was fitted to my '86 VR when I bought it, and so far I have dismally failed to identify it. Any ideas? http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/IMG_0501.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/IMG_0502.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/IMG_0505.jpg
GolfVenture Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 It could be a Bushtec hitch. Do a search on it.

Reddog170 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Looks exactly what farmers do with there grain wagons. You put the pin through, weld it in place and now you can hook up and move a wagon in half the time. Shaun

Reddog170 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I have moved them with a 125 three wheeler. But like I said, I am a little off my rocker. LOL. Interested to find out who made this hitch though. Shaun
royalstar09 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 looks completly home made to me. That appears to be a standard wheel nut from a automobile as well just sort of stuck on there. Does it thread on like with a stud inside??

Does it thread on like with a stud inside?? It's not homemade. It's a professional machined fitting. The top part is a cover which screws down onto an internal thread. The peg is machined at the top to engage into something. It's a very nice looking unit, I just don't know the origin.
Condor Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I'm pretty sure it's an older Bustec hitch. I have a couple of Bustec MKII trailer hitches and nether one is what they currently offer. To make absolutely sure send them a pic. That's what I did. I might also add that what little I can see of the electrical plug, it's looks kinda Bushy... :cody
twigg Posted March 31, 2011 Author Posted March 31, 2011 Steve, It's an early Bushtec. Rick Thanks Rick.
