FROG MAN Posted November 19, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 19, 2007 It's the opening day of deer season. Yamaha Kodiak 4x4 setting out front. I got my Rocky gortex boots, hot coffee in thermos,.223 WSM just begging for a round. Now if I can get those deer to cooperate. It's 5:00 am and I got potatoes and eggs on cooking. A country boy can survive. More later.

FROG MAN Posted November 20, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted November 20, 2007 No luck today but I did see some deer. The buck just didn't give me the shot I wanted. A day in the woods is better then riding a second gen.:rotf:

RedRider Posted November 20, 2007 Share #9 Posted November 20, 2007 Just waiting on my son to get out of the shower and we are heading out to whack herbivores. I look forward to writing the note explaining to his teacher that he was late to school because he was gutting out his first deer. RR
SilvrT Posted November 20, 2007 Share #10 Posted November 20, 2007 You guys are making me sick!!! (with envy that is) I haven't hunted for probably 10 yrs now. Got rid of my rifle about 6 yrs ago. FROG MAN Posted December 1, 2007 Author Share #11 Posted December 1, 2007 No shooter bucks for me this year. I did take a yearling button as a landowner. This year a landowner could take a buck or doe on private land. Next week starts the public or private land antler less season. I won't get to hunt anymore until the muzzle loader season starts. Blown smoke at them is lots of fun.
