BCLII Posted January 11, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 11, 2011 I just got my V-Twin clamps and have fabricated mounting brackets for the RK Classic muffler (# 98a) install. My ? is, are there exhaust gaskets that i need to purchase? Are there exhaust gaskets at all? I want to make sure I have everthing before I start the change out. Thanks, Byron

Hummingbird Posted January 11, 2011 Share #5 Posted January 11, 2011 not really too much to tackle - should be able to swap out in about an hour, including a beverage break

BCLII Posted January 12, 2011 Author Share #8 Posted January 12, 2011 did you get thumb screws for your bags yet ?? - cheap and really speeds up any job including cleanup Would there be any issues with not being able to get these tight enough so they won't vibrate loose? Don't want a bag to come loose.
Primebeef Posted January 12, 2011 Share #9 Posted January 12, 2011 For those thinking of doing the RK pipes install, I have found the V-Twin Clamps at Howard's Customs, $27.22 for the set, which includes shipping. It was the cheapest place I could find. I recently installed a set of RK pipes on my bike and I love the sound. Reminds me of a small V-8 with Flowmaster mufflers, nice low rumble. I didn't remove any of the baffle plates. http://www.howardscustoms.com/products/detail.asp?id=29513
