Trader Posted December 4, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 4, 2010 The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its' heart, take the valves out, repair any damage, and then put them back in, and when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I make $40 k a year and you get the really big bucks when you and I are doing basically the same work?" The cardiologist paused, smiled , leaned over, and said.........."Try doing it with the engine running."

kj4v Posted December 5, 2010 Share #8 Posted December 5, 2010 Funny story, I went out to unlock a Dodge ram Pick up for a Dentist one evening and the whole job took less then a minute after I started. He ask what the charge was and I said $50.00. He said wow I Don't make that kind of money and my reply was "I didn't either when I was a Dentist" we both had a good laugh and went on our way. 1 Canuck Posted December 5, 2010 Share #9 Posted December 5, 2010 Yeh but a doctor gets to bury his mistakes, and a mechanic has to fix his no matter what LOL...How true! Underpaid mechanic. Isn't that an oxymoron?
eazyduzzit Posted December 5, 2010 Share #10 Posted December 5, 2010 He ask what the charge was and I said $50.00. He said wow I Don't make that kind of money It may have taken less than a minute to unlock his door, but you had to go where he was. I'll bet if he came out to you and fixed a tooth, even if it took less than a minute, it would be more like $500.
