Alright, I finally have enough information to make it worth posting. The location of the 2008 is Bingeman Park, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and can be seen on the web at http://www.bingemans.com. Phone is (519) 744-1002 or (800) 565-4631. There are campsites, trailer/camper sites and cabins which sleep up to four people.

The tent sites can accomodate up to 6 people per site and are $31.00 - $37.50/site depending on whether or not you want electrical hookup, no matter how many people up to six.

The cabins are $65.00 per night up to four people, bring your own bedding.

When you book with them, make sure you tell them that you are there attending the 2008 International VentureRider Rally as we have blocked off a certain section of sites and cabins so we can be together.

Below is information on local motels, most are very close (within 5 minutes) of Bingemans. There are more expensive fancier motels is anyone wants that, contact me and I'll give you that info.

Kitchener is about 2 hours from the Fort Erie/Buffalo border and about 3-3.5 hours from the Windsor/Detroit border.

Reiny,

Did you get a special rate on the cabins? In checking their web, they show the cabin rates for July and August as $72.00 per night.

Also, is there an admission charge to get into the park?

Final ?. How are the cabins laid out. They say they sleep four. Are they set up like the cabin we had in CO? (BTW: No swings on the decks :rotfl::rotfl:)

Thanks for the update :15_8_211[1]:

The cabin rate I quoted was what they quoted me so it appears it is a special rate. There is no park entrance fee, just fees to use certain parts, like the waterpark. I was told some cabins sleep 3, some sleep four. They had one bed and then a bunkbed. I tried to get into a cabin or get some interior pics but it never happened.

Hey, Mr. Rooster, looks like things are starting to come together for you as you move forward with this. I might need to ask this on a different thread:

This would be a long haul for us - 4 - 5 days there / 4 -5 days back - + spending 3 or 4 days with everyone. Just was thinking about flying out somewhere and renting a bike - you mention Detroit and/or Buffalo. Anyone have any thoughts which might be better - or another suggestion?

Lone Eagle, there is an airport right here in town, here's their website:http://www.waterlooairport.ca/en/.

You could get a flight into town, don't know about local bike rentals.

Thanks. I checked for fun at flying into the town of the event from here - it's like an additional $600.00 or so (at this time) and the plane went through Detroit. This might take me a while to work on - and budget for - but at least there is time to work on it. I was thinking it might be easier to get to Buffalo from here vs. Detroit as well.

:rotfl: Boy, those folk from Alliston always seem to be behind the power curve......:stirthepot:

I do believe that the 2008 International is being held frpm 7-11 July, 2008

:rotf:They have a hard time spelling as well. "frpm 7-11 July" :sign20:

Guess it could be a family reunion for you as well :sign20:

Black Owl raised some questions/concerns that the information given here regarding the camping rates and parking etc. were not the same as what the website for Bingemans was saying.

I have clarified those issues with Bingemans and can advise the follwoing:

1)As indicated earlier in this thread, the tent campsites accomodate up to six people, three tents and no limit to the number of bikes on those sites.

2)The parking space for each cabin is generally large enough for one car, so obviously we could fit more then one bike in that space. If we have more bikes per cabin then the parking space will fit, there are parking lots nearby that offer free parking.

Hope this info. helps.

Reiny can you tell me which area you have for us? I just want to check the camping sites over, they have a good map on their web site.

BTW thanks to you and your team for planning the Rally.

It will be good seeing everyone again.

Reiny,is the command center for the rally going to be at Bingemans or off site.

We just want to be close to all the action...:whistling::whistling:

I believe Reiny's intentions are to be at the Bingemans. They have a pretty big area (parking). It is also close to the expressway,

Sorry Dan, didn't see your post or I would have answered sooner. Our intention is to have breakfast there every morning as a group and there head off from there on our various rides, so the campground itself will be "base camp", so to speak.

There is plenty of parking and places where we can all gather for chit-chat or whatever.

Reiny, will you be able to chart out some rides in the area. Maybe have some copies of maps of the different rides for us guys new to the area.

To answer Duke's question for everyone, if you go to the camping map at the Bingeman's site (http://www.bingemans.com), we have reserved the "U" shaped section of campsites near the centre of the map numbered in the 400's, and the cabins are to the lower left, green blocks numbered on the 2000 series.

Duke, we plan on having maps of planned out rides for people to ride and explore, and also we are trying to plan out daily guided rides for those that wish to go on them.
