Beau-Kat Posted October 3, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 3, 2010 Hey Tom. I hope you can see the attached photos of what I need. The straps would thread through the clasps where my finger is pointing in the second photo. Rusty To everyone else reading this thread...Sorry for posting this in the Watering Hole. I can't figure out how to attach pictures to private messages. I welcome any ideas on how to do that. Rusty

Beau-Kat Posted October 3, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted October 3, 2010 Thanks Sleeperhawk. Didn't expect anyone to be up at this hour. I wouldn't be up if I wasn't at work (and bored).
Snaggletooth Posted October 3, 2010 Share #4 Posted October 3, 2010 Hey Beau-Kat, Sounds like you have something in the works but..........I have a new set of straps off a RT tank bag. Let me know the width of the strap you need and how long they need to be if you need them. Mike
Monty Posted October 3, 2010 Share #5 Posted October 3, 2010 To post pics in a PM... Host your pic on a site, such as Photobucket or something, Then use the link with the option. Just copy, and then paste it in the message.

The image code will look like this, without the asterisks...take them out.

[*IMG]http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/05016517.jpg[*/IMG]

If I take them out, I get this...

[img]http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/05016517.jpg

I did not want to put the pics to a web site and point to them.
tufftom4 Posted October 3, 2010 Share #7 Posted October 3, 2010 I will look for them but I am on my 12hr night shifts and I think you are to, getting ready for nighty night around 10am.
Freebird Posted October 3, 2010 Share #8 Posted October 3, 2010 There is just not a good way to add that option to private messages. I actually tried it once but it was extremely server intensive and just didn't work out. If you want to send somebody an image, you just have to request their email address through a PM. Beau-Kat Posted October 3, 2010 Author Share #10 Posted October 3, 2010 I will look for them but I am on my 12hr night shifts and I think you are to, getting ready for nighty night around 10am. Thanks Tom. I appreciate the assistance with the straps. The strapping isn't the big issue as much as the clips on the ends of the straps that allow me to clip the straps onto the rings on the bag. I'm looking forward to using the bags soon. Although retired, I was rehired in June to help some guys complete their training and eventually replace me. So I don't have all the free time I would like yet. So, here I am on nights. But I'm so ready to take a ride somewhere and pitch a tent for a day or two. These fall temps are agreeing with me now. Looking at the photos of your trip just get me itching a little more to go camping. Rusty

Great bunch of folks. I'll wait a bit to see if Tom can locate the straps that actually go with these bags. Rusty
tufftom4 Posted October 4, 2010 Share #12 Posted October 4, 2010 I think I found it,does the bag have some sort of d-rings on the bottom? If so then I think this is it there are clips on the bottom then just flat strapping on top and the middle has a waist belt let me know if it looks like this.
