rumboogy Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 OK...when stopped (stopped only)...and I have to feather the clutch, I hear a "CREAKING" sound coming from the clutch lever. I can also barely feel this creaking. Looking at it, I think I can see a rubber boot (maybe not)...so I am afraid to oil it until I hear from some of you. Any suggestions or comments on this... Wally
Marcarl Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Take the pin out that it swivels on (bolt) and apply a little moly grease, simply, really. and easy.
KeithR Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I seem to remember having same issue....bit of lube and it was gone. Keith
Mike G in SC Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 This might be simple. WD40 all moving parts there, get the brake lever while you are at it. Blot it good with a rag. This happens to me regular a day or so after a ride in the rain.
KiteSquid Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 lithium greases are normally the choice for waterproof greases..... it is what I use. They are normally available at Auto Parts Stores and you can get it in a spray can, but for motorcycles I prefer it in a tub and apply it by hand.....
