My choke cable broke or came loose at the handlebar. I got another cable and I'm about to dive in. Does anyone have any hints that the manual won't tell me? I also noticed a small coolant leak from somewhere near the top of the engine when it is parked. At least now it is warm enough to get in the shop and do it!:stirthepot:

So I should tighten my clamps and replace the Bypass o-ring. Gotcha. I had a leak from the carb when parked but seafoam seemed to help that...THANKS FOR THE CARB THREAD....I dreaded taking those off.

Thanks for the info guys. I knew it was a good idea to ask.

The way I do it is to duct tape the new one to the old one and pull it through. In this way you have the cable in the same place as the original. It is not a hard fix, I attach the top end first. . :cool10:

Fred

I tried this like you suggested and had it done in 15 min. It would have been quicker but I did not pay close attention when I took the switch apart that the choke lever mounted to. Thanks Man, I would have done it the hard way without your wisdom!
