pegscraper Posted September 15, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2009 Federal is what I've been riding on for the past couple years. I had DBTires put white walls on mine.
Wanderer Posted September 15, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted September 15, 2009 I've got approx 8k on the oem Dunlops and they are holding up better than I suspected, but they are also like a tank of gas, you get to that half way point and they go fast. I'm not gonna take any chances \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\.
BigBoyinMS Posted September 15, 2009 Share #4 Posted September 15, 2009 That's the first good pic that I have seen of the Federal. The tread design looks good.
Wanderer Posted September 15, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted September 15, 2009 That's the first good pic that I have seen of the Federal. The tread design looks good. That's what I thought. Nice water grooves. I'm looking forward to giving the darkside a ride.
Wanderer Posted September 21, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted September 21, 2009 The Federal is according to the dealer on National back order so I let him send me the Nexxen. Hope I didn't screw up here. They look ok and I haven't heard to much bad about them. Should arrive this week. Then I have to find some one brave enough to mount them. eagleeye Posted September 21, 2009 Share #7 Posted September 21, 2009 I put a Nexen on my RSTD this spring and have 11M on it. I don't think about it anymore, Run 40psi. Sticks like glue on the curves and soft on the road. When you first put a CT on, you will notice everything. That will go away. Enjoy, Steve

Kirby Posted September 24, 2009 Share #9 Posted September 24, 2009 I' like for some of you guys to post a picture of the tire swap. A friend of mine as well as myself are interested in this also. We're both nearing a tire change and would like to see the end results as well as hear about the whole experience!!! He has a 06 Goldwing and I have a 09 RSV. eagleeye Posted September 24, 2009 Share #11 Posted September 24, 2009 Not sure what you mean by tire swap, but I did take a few. Notice the can of WD-40, that is what I ended up using to get the bead to seat. (in the first photo you see suds, I started by using dawn and water) Steve
