Cruise Control Question

Recommended Posts

Wow , what a great ride today on my new trike.

My First ride my Cruise Control was kinda acting

kinda funny. ride for a while then it would just go off

I could re-set it.. ride for a while and it would go off.

Now , today I turn everything on and I hit SET and

the lights just keep blinking then go off. then come back

on as if it were still trying to set itself again.. (never did lock in place)

Now after saying that .. the front of the bike had the 6 deg

rake kit added to the bike at my dealers. Worked fine before

it went into surgery. so what do you folks think they might

of messed up or did not put back on right , before I go and

dig into this after my NAP ! :D this afternoon!

Dealer is 70 miles away , I would have to take time off work

and I really want to just fix there mistake myself if I can.

I sure will let them know what you guys came up with for

the fix though! :happy65:

Thanks for any in-put gang!

I would start with checking all the electrical connections for the cruise section. Perhaps one of the quick connectors isn't fully inserted thus getting intermitment electrical flow for the unit. You'll probably have to pull the front fairing off and maybe even both lower cowlings. Left cowling has the vacumn controler mounted by the horn and the right side cowling has the servor unit & fuses I believe.

Good luck

Ohhh Great Larry, Remove the lower fairing right after a nap? :crying:

Your Kidding Right? :rotf:

Ok, Will go out now and look around. Is it hard to remove the lower

fairing? My Computer is on in the garage.

Thanks,

Jeff
