Happy Saturday night to all! As much as I want to ride today since the weather is so gorgeous, I didn't get the chance. The 'boss' has other plans, so I just simply have to comply.

I really love the lights. I can see the side and much much farther in front of me. No cagers flashed their lights on me, so this tells me that they are now focused the right way. I really like so I am thinking of installing D2 Denali lights and may select the yellow lens for the SVTC in the near future.

So after nearly a month I finally fixed the issues with my RSTD. Replaced and relocated the fuel filter after fighting to get it out of the original position, what a poorly thought out placement for something that requires changing annually or every couple of years. Piss poor design! As for the sputtering and loss of acceleration power, turns out the huge, ugly air box wasn't properly attached. The bike is running better now than it did last year when I first purchased it. On top of increased power no more decel backfiring beyond what might be expected. I'll fine tune the air/fuel mix to see if I can rid it completely. Also now have to reset idle. With the repairs it's reving a bit to high at idle. To those who reached out with thoughts and ideas, much thanks. God bless and have an awesome riding season!

Where did you get the lights?

The bikes sold in the U.S. have a standard printed speed above the digital screen. I’m unaware of a way to change the digital display other than changing out the whole cluster.

I just bought a 2007 Venture and the digital speedometer is currently displaying km/h. I have search the internet and found several different ways to change the display to mph. Unfortunately none of the suggestions work. The one site said if their suggestion didn’t work I would have to take it to the Yamaha dealer for them to change the display. Does anyone have idea why my bike seems to be “stuck” in km/h? Thanks in advance for your help.

I had a similar issue. I had to basically pry up with my fingers. Once I got it open I cleaned the latch well with brake cleaner and the applied some light oil/grease.

Greetings. My 2018 Yamaha Venture Trans Continental Gas Door wont open. Solenoid clicks when I press the button but door does not open. I have tried holding the door down and wiggling the door when pressing the button with no luck. Battery is fully charged. I removed the 2 screws at the rear of the housing, but the other 2 screws are underneath the door that will not open. Has anyone else had this problem? If so. how did you solve it? Any Ideas would be much appreciated. Regards, Tony

Good morning to all. We are having rain for the next 2 to 3 days, but glad to be able to cut the grass Monday morning. No motorcycle projects coming up, but I plan to replace plugs on the RSV over the next couple of weeks. Ride safe, if you have some good weather in your neck of the woods.
