Could 1st Gen owners measure the widest open distance to the nearest 1/8 from left handle bar to right handle bar.. The widest opening would be at the top of the oval opening. Marcarl Posted May 24, 2012 Share #4 Posted May 24, 2012 I have mine set at between 11 1\4 and 11 1\2. That makes them pretty much square to each other. My bars are turned down about as low as they can comfortably get without hitting the tank. I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam and no butt to speak of. I know, I just set myself up for some good comments, so let's stick to the subject so we can help this guy out and me out of it. ya I know,,,, I just did it again.
