I thought everyone would get a great feeling about what we do for the kids at St. Jude. I posted a picture of part of our group with a young patient there, and this is what his mother posted on facebook. Misty Dawn Shields I really wish that we were able to thank every single person that has every donated money to St.Jude. I feel each one, no how much they gave, has had a roll in saving Brayden's life. I have looked back on the EOB's from our insurance company and within the past year his treatmeant has cost probably close to half a million dollars or more. We could have never came up with that on our own. Everytime the boys see donors visiting the hospital they want to take pictures with them because to us they are Heros and Heroines (even angels)! I am getting near the end of the items for the St. Jude Auctions. I have just posted a new auction for 1 Crusin for St. Jude T shirt( XX Large), 1 Crusin for St. Jude Hat, 1 Crusin for St. Jude Pin. Remember, all funds raised are going to the Kids at St.Jude Childrens Hospital. We will be organizing a ride in late September to deliver the monies to St. Jude in Memphis, Tn. Squidley and Snarley Bill are also raising funds for St. Jude with their own efforts and will also be joining the ride to Memphis. So, mark your calendar for the latter part of Sept. and join us on the wonderful ride. Last year we had 19 bikes from various parts of the U.S. and hopefully we will increase the attendance and the amount raised last year. My thanks goes out to all who have bid,donated items for auctions, and supported the great institution that St.Jude Childrens Hospital is..................Just remember its all for the Kids, our future depends on the youth of today and who knows some of them may have been helped by St. Jude. Danny Thomas did a wonderful thing when he founded this hospital back in 1962. I want to be a small part of keeping it going and growing. Well the winter months here in Ohio leave me alot of time to think since i cant ride. So today i was sitting at work talking to a few of my co-workers about ST.Jude and they all seemed like they wanted to help and told me to let them know when i was going to go on the teddy bear collection frenzy. My Boss heard the conversation and told me about a program offered here @ CSX railroad where if i voulenteer for 40 hours they will make a 400 dollar donation to our charity. then i also had some other idea's with this i work on the intermodal side which is the division that puts the trailers and over sea's containers on the rail i will share these later and get some feed back on them. so as soon as i get some more info im going to get started. I just thought I would share this with every one. Ron
