yamadawg Posted November 22, 2009 #1 Posted November 22, 2009 Has anyone used the Mirror Frame mount for their Garmin? It looks as if this mount would have the mirror threaded through it and like it would work well on the RSV. Also, if you are using it what length arm did you go with? The item description is: Motorcycle / Bike MIRROR FRAME Mount for GARMIN NUVI 200W 205W 250W 255W 260W 265WT 465T GPS
cecdoo Posted November 22, 2009 #2 Posted November 22, 2009 Yep thats the one I used on my nuvi 750, I used the 3.75" arm and it works great, I have it mounted rite above the radio controller. Craig
Skid Posted November 22, 2009 #3 Posted November 22, 2009 I don't know anything about the mirror mount. I've been using the handle bar mount on my Garmin 260 with the 3.5 inch arm and really like it. I've saw the clutch / reservoir mount and it looks nice.
SteveP Posted November 22, 2009 #4 Posted November 22, 2009 I'm using the same setup as Craig, but with my Zumo 550. If you want I can post some pics... just let me know.
SaltyDawg Posted November 22, 2009 #5 Posted November 22, 2009 Same thing works great. I have it in the same place. I'm pretty sure it's a 4 inch extension on mine.
yamadawg Posted November 23, 2009 Author #6 Posted November 23, 2009 I'm using the same setup as Craig, but with my Zumo 550. If you want I can post some pics... just let me know. Pics would be great... Thanks!
raceman62race Posted November 23, 2009 #7 Posted November 23, 2009 This is what I use....a ram mount. I have one on both sides...clutch and brake. Bolts right on the RSV and makes a very clean mount http://www.motorcyclelarry.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_4&products_id=8
SteveP Posted November 23, 2009 #8 Posted November 23, 2009 Pics would be great... Thanks! Hope these help give you a sense of one of your options with the RAM mounts and the Zumo.
yamadawg Posted November 24, 2009 Author #9 Posted November 24, 2009 Thank you for all of the input and photos. It makes the decision much clearer!
