  1. Well today while calling on one of my customer s, a used car lot on HONDO Texas . a fella was talking to the mgr of the store. I could see he was talking about SEA FOAM. Being the bashfull sort of guy I am .... I but right in and confirm what a great product it is. I mentioned that on the web site SEAFOAM get much praise. He then gave me a sample of their new product BUG OFF. and we started talking about motorcycles,,,, lo and behold he is the owner of a 83 V.R. . Naturally we talked bikes for the next 15 min,and he was kind enough to provide more samples . He is Kevin H.and I told him all about this site . I hope he joins us here, his home is in Sioux Falls SD. Yea he travels all around promoting SEAFOAM. BIll P:beer:
  2. Our church is sponsoring a sea to sea bicycle tour. On Aug 25 they plan on leaving St Catherines ON with about 120 cyclists and arriving in Albion NY to finish this leg of their journey. They had arranged to overnight at a school in Albion, but it seems that they can no longer do this due to it being rented out to another group previously. What would be helpful here, if someone can help by finding another location for these folks to shower, sleep etc. in the area. They bring their own tents and food etc, they only would like shower facilities and a place to pitch their tents, more or less. For info on the tour: http://www.crcna.org/pages/sea_front.cfm
  3. Hi All, By the time I got rolling this morning and got Sea Foam and boots the best I could do was south of Durham. Logged in 402 miles with side trips and everything. Heading for Atlanta and supper with 86er tomorrow. Bike is running good. Locked the cruise to its max and leaned back. Kinda cold and windy but fun. The Corbin seat took a bit to get used to but it is pretty good. Love the backrest!! Put 2 tanks of primium and the Sea Foam through. Idle is still a bit erratic but the off-idle twitch is gone. I saw a 1st Gen heading south earlier. It was loaded in the back of a truck with a boat in tow. Other than that, I only saw 2 Gold Wings. Here are a couple picks. JB
  4. I have bought some Sea Foam and am not quite sure whether I should just pour some into the gas tank or if I also need to pour some into the carburetor. I think the carbs are what need the cleaning the most which would be taken care of by the Sea Foam in the gas tank. However, given that my plugs were black, it may also be a good idea to clean up the valves with it. If you have used Sea Foam, how have you used it to get good results? Thanks for your input. If you put some in the carbs did you pour it in directly while the engine was running or did you use the vacuum lines?
  5. Hi Guys: I think I know the answer to this already, BUT -- I have an '84 Venture that has sat for a while. I DID take off, disassemble and clean as best I could, all 4 carbs. She's back together now, starts right up, but will only run with the choke left on. I have added Sea Foam to the tank and have been running it in hopes that it will work its way through the system and eventually clean out whatever I didn't get. What are my chances that WILL happen? Or if anyone has any other tricks that might work, please chime in. Thanks in advance.
  6. Well, in a pure moment of happenstance, while I was filling up this morning I had one of my foam ear plugs fall into my tank! What are the chances of that thing going straight down the hole? I sloshed the gas around and looked with my light, but to no avail. I was away from the house and had to get to work so I rode it on in. I have been a ball of nerves all morning long. Someone put my worries to rest. I plan on getting a bottle of sea foam on the way home to combat anything that gets in the line. I am trying to convince myself that a tiny ear plug would disolve into almost nothing since it is almost all air. Help????
