If anyone is interested in the Natchez Trace, there is a 4 page article in the November 2008 MotorHome magazine. Might be helpful if you are going on it, or thinking about it. Lyle

Greetings, I found a site that had clear tail light lense for the Venture but listed 99-04 models. Were the later years different? I have an 08. Links always helpful. hh

My bike has been doing a lot of backfiring on deceleration but has been running like a deer on the highway. Yesterday I went for a four hour ride and it even started stalling before I got stopped at the lights so I had to keep the revs up just to keep it going. I have not got a clue where to begin but I guess I should be starting with the diaphragms and carb slides. I am also thinking that plug wires and plug caps should be replaced: The plugs are new. Any particular type or brand recommended? I see some on e-bay on a pretty regular basis. Any clues would be helpful and appreciated. I am sure this has been discussed before so a link might be helpful too. I suppose a valve adjustment and carb synch would also be in order.

Just wanted to say that I recently made a visit to Kelly’s in Hamilton (Ontario) and was very pleased with their service. A fellow rider who has done business with them suggested them to me. I also met another venture rider who didn’t know about this site (can you imagine that!), he also spoke well of Kelly’s. I talked with Kelly a fair bit and found him very courteous and helpful, he also seemed confident of his staff. The young girl at the parts counter was not only very helpful but also seemed to know her stuff and was very pleasant. They haven’t done any servicing on my bike yet but I’d be willing to give them a try. After doing some business, asking some questions and getting advice, I felt very pleased with my visit and drove away feeling very satisfied. We don’t live in a perfect world so it’s nice to see someone do the best they can. He also gave a discount for club members.

Yo rider persons. Any of you got a tachometer? If so where did you get it and how much did it cost? Is there one made for the Venture? Do you find it helpful? Ta. Kiwi.
