  1. Already then,,I think this has went on long enough.

Please place your bids on line here. The way it pans out at the moment is that I have 2 bidders left, both at $11500.

Please post what it is that you two guys would like.

We could cut the trike in half, but then we'd have to argue as to which way and who get to pick first,,,, you know what momma said,,, one cuts, the other picks.

I really think it would be a whole lot easier to bring a bit to more than $11500.

This sale will close shortly, but not before Friday Sept 13, I am busy guiding folks around Ontario, so you have until then to mix this up some.

    Carl,

If you're having an auction we can't have 2 bidders at $11,500. Someone had to be the first to $11,500 and should be the successful bidder. I don't know if I was first or second. Please post the first bidder to $11,500 and let the other bidders know where they stand. That's only fair. Let us know.

  2. Great pics Dragonrider, glad you had a good turnout and a good time. I've been attending the WNY Rally for the past several years and have always wanted to attend the Vogel Rally. Now I have my chance, the WNY Rally for next year is scheduled for mid July. Be prepared for the Great Yankee Invasion of 2020, there may be several of us attending next year. Looking forward to it. Keep us posted.

  3. Pioneer Motor Sports

    12220 Olean Rd | Chaffee, NY 14030

Actually it's right across the road from them, but they own the property, just slightly north of their store.

Lodging is free camping (washrooms but no showers) or get a room at Chaffee Lodge,,,,, Ben's is not recommended.

You're to quick for me this morning Carl!

  4. Sorry guys but I got to say it, what was Mother Yamaha thinking by having a small snail horn that looks down, I guess that sound waves bounce? But it's almost mute and so I had some aftermarket horns on the shelf (that point outwards) and tried all of them and they just won't fit into that little space or were no louder than the wimp of a horn that came stock. What say you?

I mounted a Wolo from Harbor Freight. I fabricated an 'L' bracket and mounted it where the old horn was located. It sets out a little farther than the original but not much. I think CarbonOne makes a bracket. Very loud and fairly easy to install.

  5. So, me and the boy got the tires on the tuck done, got the new girl off the truck and then started swapping parts on the Ventures. Well really just swapped seats.

He has my old '82 Maxim 750 so I told him he could give me back the Maxim and $300.00 cash when he had it and he could take over ownership of The Beast. He jumped at the idea, then I told him the New custom made seat stayed with ME so we swapped them out.

Didn't get the yard work done, but I'm taking tomorrow off work so I'll giterdone then.

Glad to see the Beast is staying in the family. Is your boy a forum member? Warn him to keep a close eye on his hardware. We won’t always be around to do a search lol.

  6. Welcome to the Venturerider's Serj. I suggest that you start with the simple stuff first. Fresh Gas! Check the plugs! Sync the carbs! Add a can of Seafoam or some other fuel system of your choice and ride it like you stole it (which you did at $300). If it sat around for a while all of the above will help. More First Genner's will be adding to this list so hang on. Good luck and keep up posted.

  7. Dear lop eared Wiz varmint and wife:

The suggestion has been made to give Mrs. Wiz and yourself away as prizes at Freebird's 2020 MD. What a high honor this would be!! The only issue I can foresee with such a significant and honorable undertaking would be if Slyvester ended up being the winner of that drawing. In the way of an FYI/heads up please note that I offered myself as a prize to Slyvester at one time and was willing to hitch hike down south to his home = trusting the varmint to only provide food, shelter and endless ammo to shoot during my 5 year stay with him as the Grand Prize (I was going do the hitch hiking so no shipping fees would apply). I was somewhat alarmed when I read Slyvester's response to my notable and sincere offer - it read something like this:

Dear Puc, I have open space in my storm cellar to lodge you for a night and a one way ticket for the row boat with one oar that will be arriving 1 day after you appear in our community. Das One Oar Boat will be transporting you to some 3rd World offshore country. Please bring lots of dramamine, skeeter repellent, sun screen,,, and perhaps some K-Rations for your journey to that far away country as I am sure, by the time you depart from my home on the ship and I wave goodbye to you, you will be somewhat hungry..

You hit it on the head ol' Pucster, Sylvester is never happy. I water proofed his Tony Llamas at last years MD and all he has done is whine about it ever since. To make up for it I have prepared a special boot dressing formula made entirely from re-claimed Yamaha RSV Shock Oil, the finest available. This stuff is guaranteed to produce a lovely butter nut brown hue on even the most highly polished boots, good stuff. Can't wait to see that old farmer again. Hope you're there to watch my back. Ride safe, ride smooth.

  8. I would take a look at the speed sensor located on the final drive first and trace the wiring back from there. There is a connection under the seat or the left hand side cover that may be disconnected. Down load the service manual from the Tech Library and check page 7-78 for a pic of the speed sensor. The speedo works on electrical impulses, could be a loose connection or broken wire.

  9. Neither Rotella T4 or T6 contain friction modifiers. I have used T6 in my RSV's for over 100,000 miles with no adverse affects. Check the Member Vendor section of the classifieds for Skydoc17's clutch spring replacement kit. It is low cost, very effective, contains everything you will need and is a simple job. Earl will provide tech support if required. You'll find the hardest part is removing the old gasket.
