  2. I'd love to have a jet-ski ... I rent one every chance I get (which isn't a lot) ... being a biker, those are like riding a bike except on the water where ya can fall of and not likely to get hurt. Few years back we rented one and off we went, me on the controls, Nina behind me. She'd never operated one so eventually we swapped places and I gave her some instruction on how to operate it. She took it easy for a while but with a little encouraging from me, she started opening it up, doing quick turns, etc. About that time, as I was "encouraging her", I wasn't holding on and she cracked it and off the back I went, hollerin my head off and laffin at the same time. So much fun we had on that "toy".
  3. I'll try and find some of the posted dyno charts ... may not find a 130 but definitely over 120. PCV, Air filter, mufflers, cams, and a dyno tune.
  4. And here's the second one...
  5. Dang, sound quality sure drops when uploaded to youtube... oh well, enjoy the ride...
  6. I do agree with you puc and especially the parts about Victory and Indian being separate entities and that neither Victory or Indian have performance improvement offerings aside from an ECM reflash and Arlen Ness stuff; however, in defense, there are several 3rd party sources out there for the Vic and many of the dyno tune shops are now getting familiar with the Vic. Even here locally there's at least 4 dyno shops that I know of that have dyno tuned a Vic using the Power Commander V. I've seen reports where guys have pumped these 106's up to close to 130HP and TQ for not a large sum of money. Get those numbers out of a Harley ... think double that price. Resale? Too hard to tell at this time as Vic hasn't been around long enough to properly establish that I don't think and of course, you can't even figure an Indian into that yet. One thing is for sure tho ... there's no lack of used Harleys on the market. It's an interesting "bike world" we are in and I think all of us here are chompin at the bit to see what Yamaha is going to come out with to compete in this volatile market. Posting a ride vid later that I did with my new Mobius action cam. Love the ride and sound of my Vic! The Mobius does a really good job.
  7. The reason there are so many Harley dealers and 3rd party shops that fix them is because they are the only ones that break down...
  8. Stock E3 up front, Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3 195/55-16 RF on the rear. Did double-dark on the Wing when I had it. Amazing traction, ride, and control.
  9. Nothin wrong with a V-twin ... there's a lot of 'em out there all doing quite well. Some think they won't get the mileage a V-4 or other engine styles will but really ... how many miles does the average owner put on a bike? Engine longevity doesn't appear to have a major impact on depreciation or resale value either. That said, would I buy a V-twin with over 100k miles vs a V-4 ... probably not but that all depends on condition, what's been done, price, etc, etc.
  10. That ain't no BOAT ... compared to what I had, your's is a luxury yacht LOL As for selling it ... remember the old saying (and I hope I get this one right .. condor ) ... a happy wife is a happy life
  11. Knowing you and your "other passion" you're right ... in my case tho, I couldn't "break" another thou off the roll coz there was no roll LOL
  12. Geeez, I had no idea. I put mine back in without even a thought about this. In fact, I don't even know if what I put in was in the correct order or if they were backwards. Still worked tho...
  13. So wish I could retire right now but, even at 68 I need to work at least another 2-3 years before we're financially able to ... unless of course we win the lotto! Starting over from nothing 10 years ago, it takes time to get to where a person wants to be. Lost everything except the clothes on my back and my truck in 2003 due to a divorce and bankruptcy. Then I was out of substantial work for 2 years. Finally in 2005 I met my current wife, secured a great job in 2006 and my life has never been better since. Financially she was worse off than me when I met her but we cleared that off. Then my ex tried to stick me with 50 grand in missed spousal payments which cost me almost 10 g's to get rid of her. It's been a tough, long haul. Now we have a house to pay off but that was all part of the long-range plan. 3 years from now we'll be totally debt free, have a reasonable chunk of cash saved and plan to tour Canada and the US on the scoot for at least a year! Can hardly wait!
  14. I dunno how they came up with thos gas mileage numbers ... I'm getting well over 40 on my XCT.
  15. Just in case anyone is interested.... https://autos.yahoo.com/news/compared--three-american-v-twin-touring-baggers-182647272.html
  16. Oh, we loved the boat too but it's value was better put towards paying off the mortgage. We want to have it paid off between 2 and 3 yrs so every penny helps. Then we can retire and spend more time ridin!
  17. Well, last year we bought a ski boat. Some of you may remember. One poster made the comment B.O.A.T. -- Bring On Another Thousand. Well, he was right ... sort of. Had it not been for us swamping the boat last summer against the shore in high waves, it might not have been so bad but that little "escapade" cost us a pretty penny coz it messed the hull up pretty good. We got that fixed and did use it a few times afterwards but now that we've bought a house, we decided to sell the boat and put the money towards the mortgage. I'm feeling quite relieved having only advertised it 2 weeks ago, 3 inquiries, 2 people came to check it out, and one bought. YESSSSSSSSSSS!!! The BOAT is gone! Did I recoup my investment? NO ... but had I rented a boat as many times as I used this one, it would have cost me a lot more so all in all, I'm happy!
  18. Sue the buggers for a zillion dollars!! Good info there Eck! I've occasionally wondered about such things myself. Moral of the story .... never trust anyone! (except me that is)
  19. That's about as crazy as those "Henny Youngman" ads. No other information whatsoever! "Great bike, runs good" or "One owner, Never dropped" or "No reasonable offer refused"
  20. I don't spend a lot of time on Vog ... mostly on the other one I sent you. As much or more activity there than here. If you look at "Recent Activity" on VOG, you'll see there is quite a bit.
  21. PM sent
  22. Ran across this on another forum ... guy added them to his Vic ... nice! OPT7 50cm LED Fluxbeam DRL Tubes White Amber Signal Sync Switchback Audi Style | eBay
  23. Such things do tend to baffle one's mind. Similarly to your 90 mile shipment, something I order from just south of the border can take 5-10 days via USPS. Across Canada ... couple days via Can Post. To fly to a place like Las Vegas & return from Vancouver ... around $180 ... to fly to Kelowna, BC & return ... around the same amount yet there's a 2 hour difference in flight times. Baffles my mind LOL
  24. I've never been charged a service charge by Visa ... only the exchange rate. PayPal, on the other hand, charges a service charge and then visa converts it from US to CAD ...
