  1. heh, in my case it's got nothing to do with either of those ... some things simply wear off (or wear out) over time ...
  2. Hot dogs or not, I refuse to eat at Burger King. Maybe someone can go there, get the Hot Dogs for me but re-wrap them in generic wrapping so I don't know where they came from???? Now, if it was Dairy Queen where they have brazzier burgers ... that's a different story .... but I wonder, if their burgers are brazzier, what are their hot dogs .....
  3. whutchutalkin 'bout festus? it was 16 celcius here today, 14 yesterday as I rode most of the day ..... and going to 18 out the valley tomorrow.
  4. heh ... and the pleasures that we once cherished slowly fade awayyyyyyy.......
  5. yep, it was a relatively simple swap. FWIW, the left grip is held on by two little screws hidden under the edge of the rubber. One is right near the wire coming into the grip. You can only pull the rubber back where the screws are. Once removed, the grip slides right off. Those chrome "plugs" in the ends are plastic and are press-fit. Take a dull, wide, flat screwdriver, wedge it down between the plug and the bar end and pry them out. You might need to whack the end of the screwdriver with a hammer a few times with the screwdriver pointed against the inner edge of the plug and towards the end. Pull the front fairing shell off. Remove the 4 bolts holding the inner fairing on. Unscrew the two clamps holding the wiring loom (they aren't easy to get at) and move them off to the side You can then lift the fairing up and forward so you can get at the bar clamps. Some will say you need to remove the entire inner fairing. Not needed unless you have to replace some cables but with these bars, the stock cables fit ... you just have to tug on them some to get a little more slack.
  6. Wasn't tryin to convince you (or anyone) otherwise ... just stating how I feel about them. There's nothing wrong with running an MC tire ... heck, I didn't even know about putting car tires on a bike until quite some time after I joined this forum. Took me a couple years reading and researching about it and a move to a Wing before I "bit the bullet" so to speak.
  7. I can't speak for the RSV; however, I ran a C/T on my Wing and now run one on my VIc. Scraping the boards or footpegs with full confidence even riding 2-up. Took me quite a while to come to the decision of trying it. Very glad I did. FWIW, bike sat all winter (last ride was sometime mid October) and the C/T never lost a bit of air yet my front tire dropped 3 lbs.
  8. Day before I got to ride I installed new handlebars. Called "Victory mini-Apes" ... sets the grips back towards me about 2", appx 2" higher, and the angle is better for the wrists. All that pain I was feeling in my thumb and index finger joint no longer happens as pressure is now dispersed across my entire hand.
  9. heard about that on the news. Thankfully I didn't encounter any ID10T's today.
  10. Sun is shining, 10 celcius ... bike all ready, so put the insurance on and off I went. OMG it feels soooooooooooooooooo good ... even better than s3x ... which I've all but forgotten what that feels like hahahaha
  11. Wife and I really liked that Wing; however, there were 2 things that caused me to get rid of it and buy the Victory... a) The Wing felt too much like a car rather than a motorcycle. Dropping down to 30 mph while still in 5th gear and still being able to crack the throttle and off you go was like having an automatic. The bike was sooooo smooth ... like a car LOL b) The Alternator drive gear was shot and that was a $2500 bill which requires removing the engine. I simply did not want to do that. Had it not been for "b" ... we probably would have kept it for a couple more years.
  12. pun intended ??? LOL
  13. Check out what I did to my Wing....
  14. Years ago I worked in a heavy truck manufacturing plant. Guy I worked with was connecting the positive post of battery up (24 volt) using a box-end wrench. As he spun the wrench around, the other end hit the battery box frame (which of course is grounded). It turned his wedding ring bright red and he screamed ... his finger balloned up at least 4 times it's size. I grabbed a pair of side cutters and had to snip his ring in 2 places to get it off. Off to the hospital he went and when he returned to work, he said the only thing that saved his finger from being amputated was the spot on the ring that was touching the wrench as it didn't burn that small part of the skin underneath. As for this saying "JEEP (Just Enough Education to Pass)" ... LOVE IT !!! never heard that one before but I sure know where and when I can use it hahahah
  15. Very nice ... except for one thing.... the trunk is not in sync with the rest of the bike. Every part on the bike has the orange on top... trunk is opposite and for me that kills it.
  16. Going UP them is a lot more fun that down. Scraped my boards and pegs many times on those turns LOL
  17. Those switch-backs are wicked!
  18. Instructions??? we don't need no stinkin instructions!!!
  19. WOW !!! Great pics!
  20. Guess you need to get a new vehicle then with that feature built in .... (tell her I said it was OK)
  21. Unless I'm mistaken, it records separate 5 min clips, one after the other until the SD card is full ... then it starts overwriting beginning with the oldest 5 min clip. This is how my Mobius works.
  22. You've been close!
  23. This also looks interesting.... I know my wife could use it ... http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Rear-View-Kit-4-3-Mirror-Monitor-Waterproof-Reverse-Car-Backup-Camera-Free-Shipping/1961478320.html?spm=2114.10010108.100007.18.XqZ09g&af=85386&dp=6378_1453998992_2bcfe7bbfc77dc3b7581d904408196df
  24. This looks like something worth having. A mirror that goes over your existing mirror with a display screen and video cam that starts up automatically when you start the car. It has a couple of safety features too besides recording any incident that may happen. It records on a loop like home security systems so you don't have to fiddle with it every so often to erase a flash drive so you can record again. Basically install it and forget it unless you want to retrieve the video. It has a microphone so you could leave the key on and let it continue to record during a traffic stop or some altercation so there's evidence rather than a he said she said type thing. Price: $95. HP F720 Rearview Mirror Mount Dash Camera Convert your rear view mirror into a 21st century device with the HP Car Camcorder f720 mounted in your vehicle. When you start the car, the f720 automatically starts recording video with no need to push any button.
