  1. if you are good at soldering;the connector wires going to the circuit board are loose at the printed board(this takes a steady hand .016 solder wire and a tip meant for soldering circuit boards) must be careful not to get sloppy with solder lest you bridge connections not meant to be bridged, this should fix your problem I've owned two 1st gen Royale's both needed this repair, if you don't feel comfortable doing this repair I can do it for you for a small fee call me at 402 3140721 ZMAN:322:
  2. use ABS plastic sheet 1/8 inch (smooth side goes against repair) ABS glue is best but PVC pipe cement is a good alt;to form heat backing ABS up with heat gun till soft (flat glass works good to heat backer up on) wear cotton gloves to handle hot piece, then place against part to be reinforced(please have area cleaned with lacquer thinner prior to this process) allow to cool before gluing; if this is a section repair call me ZMAN 402 3140721:322:
  3. First I'm new member to VRO now back to 88 carbs; First do you have a factory service manual; if you don't get one they are more$ than say a climers but way more informative having said that after you get the bike running you want to sync the carbs with a merc stick one carb it set from factory to be the base for the other 3 to sync to, this is not hard to do and you will notice a much smoother idle.ZMAN:322:
