    2005 Royal Star Midnight Venture
  1. I recently purchased a 2005 Midnight Venture with 42K miles. I went on my first long ride this past weekend and noticed some slippage in 4th and 5th gear. I decided to change the oil to have a base starting point and also make sure it had good oil thinking this may help. However, I just went for a short ride after changing oil with Mobil 1 4T and now the slip appears to be worse than before. Guess I need to go ahead and order the clutch spring kit and hope the disc are OK. Thanks for all of the advise on this site, I find it very helpful. Thanks, Todd
  2. Thanks for all of the advice. I just giot the bike and didn't notice this during the test drive but oh well. I will try lubing the joints to see if that helps, and i will replace the fluids. If this doesn't work, I will deal with it until I feel the clutch needs to be replaced.
  3. Hello, I am new to this site and I just recently purchased a 2005 Royal Star Midnight Venture. My issue is that after riding for a little time, the bike seems hard to get into neutral. Does anyone know what could cause this problem? Thanks in advance for any advise.
