  1. Swapped Neutral Switch, for cracked gear position switch...works perfect, no leak from here anymore....now to stop the other leaks.
  2. If you could Dingy, where would one find these calipers and mounting arms?!! Thanks a million!!
  3. Thanks Guys, really appreciate the link...Thanks To Mr. Jerry for the help and part also...am checking link for switch, and going to put part on tomorrow if I don't have to go to work!! Thanks again!! Just got neutral switch plate swapped out with new o'ring. cleaned the area really good with brake parts cleaner....still cleaning gasket material off of outer cover. Should have it back together and road tested tomorrow...still have to try the dissassembly and cleaning on brake light switch..! I seem to be having a rash of switch issues. First my bike then my truck....will it ever stop?!?!? LOL Thanks for all the help. Did some riding today, but before I did, I swapped out the small plastic pieces from the clutch and front brake switches, they are the same on my bike for some odd reason...supposed to be 1984 Venture Royale, but insurance card says 1983....hmmm...any VIN code ninjas out there...? But not sure what PO did to bike either...but it worked!! Brake switch had melted and the spring contact was set in plastic and unmovable without destroying the plastic slider. So checked clutch switch on the off chance it would be compatible, and low and behold, it even had four contacts....so just swapped them out...and cleaned flat contact areas for brake switch...worked perfect from Sweeny to Angleton to Cleveland to Beaumont to Kemah then back home...Yay me!! LOL Have a Great day....still have a bit of an oil leak still though...think it might be oil level sender...will clean and evaluate soon!
  4. Hello All, Happy Mothers day! Does anyone know of how to repair front brake light switch, beings that they are discontinued? '84 Venture Royale. Have a Great Day!!
  5. Thanks Dingy. I located mine, and that's the problem...while tightening the screws to try and stop an oil leak that i suppose was coming from there...I cracked the white plastic on the upper screw hole. I'm searching for part number so i can order or get another one. Went to Union Cycle Salvage today, and payed $15 for the wrong part...LOL I was hoping to use this one as a block off plate, but the screw holes are in the wrong location/shape:confused24:...
  6. Hello All! Happy 4th of July to ya'll! Anyhow, I have an '84 Venture Royale, and am wishing to do the R1 Brake upgrade. I have a source for my calipers locally from a '98-'99 R1. will these fit the '84 with no fabrication? Front and Rear. And is there a post anywhere concerning the gear indicator sensor? I can't find mention of it anywhere in the manual. Thanks a million...and as soon as she gives me my allowance, I'm gonna join!! DOH!! I guess if I had read the WHOLE post I wouldn't have any questions but the gear indicator sensor...LOL Anyone have a good set of MKII forks they are willing to part with sub $100ish?!! Ebay here we come!!! And Union cyle salvage..wish me luck!!!
