    I have been using the set from Yamaha for close to a year now - love them ... yes, they do fasten with a set screw, they also come with a Craazy Glue tube - use a couple of drops on each peg prior to slipping on the chrome peg cover - works great - make sure you get the peg on the way you want it - they don't move once you slide them on

    I have the Yamaha OEM truck rack ... I really like it and have had no problems with rust. Regarless of what trunk rack you purchase, make sure you have the metal bars top and bottom of the trunk lid ... this will distribute the weight more evenly and not punch holes in the ABS lid ...

    Definately one of the better mods I put on our 2nd Gen ... well worth the money (I got the cheaper rate), even with the $5 increase. Just try splitting the fairing once with the passing lights already installed. Talk about a royal pain in the butt. You would never want to do it more than once. (One & half hours to split + skinned knuckles verses 10 minutes and skin remains undamaged)
