  1. I cut my windsheild down too. I covered the sheild with blue tape. I mesured down from the top center of the windsheild 5". Your choice on how much you cut off. I made the first cut (5" down from center) straight across. I then used the pice I cut as a template for the next cut to get the curve of the windsheild correct. Then, just sand the edges with 150 grit sandpaper to smooth out. Use a sanding block. I used a jig saw with a fine blade. It came out perfect. People think It's factory. It's really easy!!! Give it a try. If you screw it up(but you won't), you were going to buy another windsheild anyway. And the best part is it won't cost you anything but a little time. Made all the differance in the world to me. I am 5'9" and 5" lets me see over the windsheild without a lot of wind hitting my face. Good luck and have fun. Dennis:12101:
  2. I have to agree with Brake Pad. I like the wing better. More technology, faster, handels way better, and everything looks like it was designed to be there. Now before ya'll jump on me, I do like my RSV. I have had it over a month now and it is really comfortable. I just can't get past the little things. Like, the way the raido looks like an afterthought. And the included tape player? Come on, this is 2009!!! Yamaha can do better than that! Fuel injection would be nice too. I don't think Yamaha rerally cares about this bike or they would have put more thought into it. I know it sounds like i'm trashing my RSV, but i'm not. At $14,700, It's the bigest bang for my buck. I feel like I got a good bike at a good price. However, if I had another $8000 to spend............I'd be on a Gold Wing forum right now. Dennis in Sunny Sofl
  3. After reading all lot of posts here, I noticed that a lot of you with maps of places ridden have been everywhere in the southeast except Florida. Why not cross over that state line? Think of us as a mirror to Deals Gap. They have 386 curves in 11 miles. We have 11 curves in 386 miles. So, c'mon down!! The waters fine.
