  1. You would have to ask permission from backwards farm as it is his thread... In the mean time I still seem to be the high bidder of the this is it thread at $25.
  2. Can we hijack this thread??
  3. A real trike is sooo much better than training wheels! Trike conversions range from 6K to 15K to an existing bike, and the more expensive ones generally are better. That being said, there are more and more trikes out there for sale for a lot less than it cost to buy a bike and convert it. I bought my RSV new and triked it later with a Hannigan conversion and with safety chrome, etc I now have around $35,000 and it is an 09 with 22K miles on it...
  4. Hydraulically there is not much to the system, you have the master, a line, and a slave cylinder. Can the master leak, sure! It can leak from the line, and it can leak from the guts out to where the hand grip pushes it. The lines can leak at the fittings or the rubber hoses can leak anywhere. The slave can leak internally out to where it pushes the rod for the clutch, and it can leak at the fitting...
  5. What? Wait, you callin' Hardleys useless???
  6. We get's an oil gauge!!!!!
  7. Hmmmm, do we get frequent flier miles on it's odyssey??
  8. Hehehehehehehehe! Sorry to steal your thunder Neil...
  9. To answer your question, probably not. How hot did the wire you shorted get and how long was it shorted, a few milliseconds, about a second, more than a second?? Heck, just hitting the starter draws a whole lot of amps instantaneously...
  10. Member Skydoc_17 sells just what you need, a conversion kit. Either PM Earl or check the classifieds... PS there is another Member in Barrie, Tooch but he rides a 2nd gen!
  11. Dingy makes the perfect wrench for the job! I suppose I can lend you mine (KEY WORD LEND) if you want or buy one from him. Eliminates the hammer and screwdriver and allows a torque wrench to be applied. I can give it to groundhugger WED if you like...
  12. Bumpety bump bump! Aww, come on, lets have some bids on this one too!! This one is a lot cheaper than the $246 or better for the Threadkiller and comes with the same award...
  13. Yah! Steve has the complete package so you don't need to buy the adapter and wire it up. I've seen his setup firsthand and it looks very professional, and knowing Steve personally He does quality work!
  14. Yes we do! There was a factory lighted spoiler for the trunk but was overpriced. What most of us do is get a 5 wire system to 4 wire system adapter which you will need for a trailer anyway, and buy one of those multifunction LED striplights from a trailer company, or pay more from a car parts place or online, and fabricate a couple of mounting brackets and mount it right under the trunk. You can also get one of those rear Harley light bars and add them between the licence plate. Buy some LED clearance lights and mount them on the side of your saddlebags, drilling required but use RTV on the holes. Truck stops are an excellent place to look for LED lights. There are also some aftermarket tail light LED assemblies you can buy. All the wires you need are found in that chrome piece above the licence plate. Blue is running lights, Yellow is Stop, and green and brown are the Left and Right turn signals, I forgot which is which. Not that I would know anything about adding lights...
  15. Without a picture it's hard to determine exactly, but I'm thinking it is your vent tube, which just goes down the center of the bike to the ground. You will also have 4 vent tubes doing the same thing in the same area that are for venting gas should the float needle valve get stuck open. There will also be a hose from the battery box connected to nothing...
  16. Be VERY careful with that loctite, even the fumes can eat plastic...
  17. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Don!!!
  18. Now Tooch, if you can figure out a way for them to get to Ground Hugger before Wednesday that would be great! Ground Hugger, you won't mind bringing these with you Wednesday, would you??
  19. Ground Hugger is coming to visit next week... This thing is starting to fall together!
  20. Someone is feeling their oats this morning...
