  2. Deb and I would also like to thank Don and Eileen for the great weekend. great to catch up with all our friends. Wish we just all Lived right around the corner from each other and we could this more. Thanks.
  3. Don, where can i get a application, Deb needs a job!
  4. Deb and I would be heartbroken if your maintence day event were to end Don. We make it a point to show up no matter what to see our friends that we never get to see dureing the rest of the year. So many friends from all over. The work that goes on is awsome and the knowledge your event brings is incrediable. The fellowship is secound to none. Just my thought on the subject Don. I hope to see you all soon.
  5. Great job Jeff, keep up the good work and think warm thoughts, Rum balls, Rum Balls.
  6. I installed a stator and r/r from that company on my 84. The stator was of good quality and much better in construction then the original. the r/r you cannot tell about it on looks alone. The stator works great but the r/r was terable. Output was 16 volts most time and pushing 17. Talked with my engineer son and he said that was to be expected with foreign electronis components sometimes. I went back to stock yamaha r/r and all is good now in venture land.
  7. GaryS The light im useing provides a good directional beam pretty straight ahead. No blinding of oncomeing traffic. At first the light was difused a lot because of that little reflector I mentioned. but it came right out with one screw. For me this is the best light for the buck. I have been on a quest for about 3 years for this set up. Never ridden with a harley bike running with a daymaker, but I bet it coulden't be much better then this setup .
  8. Garys-NJ . Try e-bay item number 301165473431 and item number 281684968187. I took the center reflector from the light lens out. one screw in the back for that. The lens is glass.Im not computer savy enough to post links and pictures. P.S. i was born in camden NJ and grew up in Glendora NJ. left inn 1978 for the navy, married my wife from Ohio and moved here. I still stop back that way every couple yerars but boy have things changed.
  9. I have been playing with the headlight on my 84 for some time now. My last venture into finding the best bright lite for me was buying a 4x6 clear glass lens for the bike. A little clear silcone rtv helped me to get it rite in the original light holder. It holds h4 bulbs. silver stars bulbs worked great in that but the best and what im useing now is a cree led 3000 lumins bulb. Best for me and hopefully a lot mor dependable then the hid set up. The hid was a good light but when the ballest craped out on me late at night and a long way from home i said no more of that. At least with the set up i have now if the led goes out all i have to do is put a standard h4 bulb back in. Best of luck and keep us posted.
  10. Jeff. best of luck on your operation. My wife Deb did broke her ankle like yours in 2012. Foot turned around 180 deg but she also had a open fracture. the bones were acutually sticking out the side. They put her back together with some exotic metals and she was up and running full boogy in 6 months. It will all work out in your favol and if you stumble at MD (rum balls or not) we will hold you up. were all part of this crazy family.
  11. Im Stuffed! Now bring on the Pies:fatsmiley:
  12. From one vet to another Dan you know we all got yours and each others back. Theres a few of us here and we got some fight in us left. This is a great country and ill still stand to defend her.
  13. Dan. Glad to hear your feeling better. Take it easy Bud and you should be back in the saddle soon. Sorry that secound gen threw you. You must have been kicking her hard trying to get her to run like a first gen. Get well my friend!
