  4. Met Paul on a few mission the wife and I went on. He impressed me as a really nice man. Paul you will be missed. On another note does anyone have a link to the pgr of ga. If I can get my bike back up and running I would love to be in that mission. I ride with the local's here in NC when I can and I would love to get the info to them also. David
  5. I agree with Joe on tis one. Laura and I had the same problem but for her it is her knees want let her come up on the left. I agree with a few that it is easier for her if she comes up on the bike from the right but its a pain for me to hold it from turning over. What we found works the best for us is Laura gets on the bike just likes its hers and then simply slides back, then I mount. As you already stated dismounting is not a problem for her either David
  6. thank you sir I stand corrected...although i do believe this will be more the exception than the main David

  11. I am seriously considering selling my 91 vr. Im just tired of working on this thing. Its always minor stuff but I really would love to get something newer to just get on and ride without the agrevation. As of wright now its setting with a dead battery and in need of a front tire. I tried to crank it and all I get with the cables from my truck on it is a whirring noise form where the starter is turning but not turning the motor.......... AAAUUUuUUUGGGGGG David
  12. for me it was a post to bump it back to the top....nothing more........prayers were sent before the paypal.............and also to let snaggletooth know I care as he could look at who my paypal says I am and what me call name heres says and not have any idea who I am........Snaggle you and your daughter are in the wife and my prayers....... David
  13. not much my friend but hey we are all family and as family we should help as much as we can David
  14. very similar to what I did. I took a miniature hack saw ( bought in plumbing section) , pulled the battery box and covered the carbs with a rag and cut the ears off with the aid of a mirror placesd on top of the shop rag and then relocated to the top of the air box. David
  15. there should be 2 places to plug in. ON my 91 there is a audio control unit on the back of the bike just beside the passengers left hand ( as setting on bike) mounted to the trunk. It will have a 5 pin hook up for the headset for the passenger. On the front there will be a 5 pin plug secured to the tank cover on a 3 ft or so lead. Just left ( again setting on the bike) coming out of the fairing just to the side of the radio unit. David
  16. not sure about parts but it seems to me this might be a better option from Dingy here on the site http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=76731 David
  17. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=57269 this is what I did on my 91......then took a ride to the local cb shop at a truck stop and had the swr's checked. this antenna has an adjuster at the top just for tuning. All I did was remove the cb from the holder and hey plug meter into cb and keyed up . My swr was correct but who knows what yours will do. David
