  1. If it takes batteries Fireman use EverReady They won't settle for anything less!! Son-in law just had it done now he walks backwards???
  2. Threw one of those gaskets away because like Condor after enjoying it's desire to refuse to stay put I sent it to the time out trash can! However Now the lens rattles and for those of us who are not just Fair weather riders in Calif. I will try the decal glue from a Craft Store? Now off to Yammie for a rubber dingy.
  3. Must have been the tip over switch cause all us 1st and 2nd geners always check the kill switch. So silly to even mention it right ?! (and embarrassing to admit) hmmmm.....
  4. We are praying that recovery is speedy and complete Randy.
  5. Because of posts like this .... and others I now have to wear a helmet if I even think about laughing when on this site with my wife reading over my shoulder. And to laugh out loud!!! I am considering buying linemen shoulder pads (safety chromed of course)
  6. In advance for a good report to Randy concerning Linda today. No one You have created goes unnoticed or unloved. We ask that for both Randy and Linda you support concern with faith. We ask you Lord that the doctors hands be guided by yours and you arms are around Randy. While Doris and I can't be with you in the physical we are with you both in Spirit, Prayer and Hope.
  7. You can't lose things if you just put things where they belong. I leave the key in my bike at the store so I don't lose it! Now if I could only remember which isle I parked it in.
  8. The new Indians Sat at the Arlene Ness dealership. 15 of them every model with extras. The hard part about gettin old is new things. Not sure in the long run if after 1000 miles in 24 hours the seat will be comfortable After 114000 miles mine still is! No radio no cassette how many perks can they leave off and think we wont miss? The rumble is nice but I get that with the muffler off on my car. Do have to say the look is pure nostalgia. Would be a shoo in as a Sunday bike next to my 05 Midnight:detective:
  9. Way to go get back on the horse!! Glad you can! BuddyRich had to help me after my crash! Drove me to the bay area watched me sign on the line then he loaded it up on his trailer back to my house where he unloaded it. Pain killers made it hard to see the line to sign much less the white line to drive it home. Thinkin about a trike, let us know how you like it down the road..
  10. would sure look good next to my 05 with 118,000 miles on it. Like a pair of Stallions looking for trouble. But alas my wife reminded me that adding another stallion would mean sleeping outside in the rain next to them......
  11. Headed down to Arlen Ness on the 12th of Oct to ride on the demo tour (free food) Hope I don't fall in love with the leather bagger or the hard bagger as the wife will not be with me. She is the reasonable side of my brain. Think I will stop reading posts and go practice writing my name. Better start looking for another place to live Wonder how long it can be parked in the hospital parking lot??
  12. Hind sight being 20/20 It seems strange that those of you wanting to give the bikers a "" possible reason not shown prior to the video" for their actions have not suggested that the numerous bikers present (without license plates) take down the plate number of the vehicle "displayed both front and back" and call the police?????? On the bright side was looking for the "faster " 1st gens and did not see any in the pack of rocket bikes
  13. Had to stop the bike with my son on the back yesterday. The sun was hitting the windshield creating a haze of scratches I could not see thru!! Will also be looking at a shorter shield as the mist is also a factor at times. Please post on how you like the tinted shield. Went to the website and they are not displayed or priced.
  14. Maybe yamaha owns the cassette company????
  15. MAYBE THE GROAN IS CAUSED BY SOMETHING ELSE (NO COMMENT ON WHAT THE OTHER CAUSE COULD BE) WHEN YOU TURN ON THE LIGHT IN THE GARAGE IS IT PARKED NEXT TO A FIRST GEN??
  16. Me Too :confused24:o!!!!
  17. I've seen that bike you described only it had Goldwing emblems on it!!! Maybe Yamaha owns Goldwing???
  18. You mean I will have to buy an after market, fits in the trunk, takes up lots of space, cassette deck to play the Moody Blues cassette I finally found!!!!!! Oh the Agony!!! Wonder if the new design looks like a sport bike with clutch side heated handle bar.
  19. Hope your healing never stops and you ride always starts.
  20. Wasn't sure you "antique's" could get away from the pot long enough to stir it. The brotherhood is still alive [
  21. Condor is that the light that doubles as turn and brake as well as running? Hmm that would mean triples I think (( Yes I DO!!)) Think just can't remember.. If so where can I get one??
  22. Unless I'm off in my geography you saw some flooding and ? and fires out that way?
  23. Every now and then I see a first gen going past at high speeds But they do have a strange quirk.... They stop at all post offices???? I think it is because they constantly need replacement parts. Meanwhile I just turn up My ZZ Top so as not to hear the crying that seems to come from the rider not the bike as they come out of the post office. When you enjoy the ride you are not in a hurry to get there and get off....2nd gen forever or until I cant buy cassettes
  24. While never and I mean never having ridden the slower first gen bike I do second Cowpuc love for the cassette. I wish it were a memory not a present day display located where my cd player should be..
