  1. Okay sorry everybody. My mechanic says mine is currently working but is very concerned about its condition. As I mentioned just prior I did Google it but didn't see any new parts come up. There's a guy currently on eBay with a used one for $6.95. And a few others in that price range. I just thought if one of you guys had one I'd spend the money with you. 2. Thanks for that great information. When I Googled it one came up on eBay used but I didn't see any listings for new parts. Also just leads me to another question that's been bothering me. When I turn the key on before starting the bike I hear what I assume would be the fuel pump doing what you just told me it does pre-start. Although it sounds more like the level ride on my old El Dorado when it would pump up it when you started it. I guess I just don't know what that sound is Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  3. Cheaper, Better, Faster (choose two) I used to be a printer and has this sign behind behind my desk. "PRICE, QUALITY or SPEED. Choose any Two." Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  4. Well here it is the 4th Friday in a row that my bike's been promised I'd have for the weekend from the mechanic and I'm afraid to call him today. I just want to run four or five tanks through that thing this weekend... Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  6. MSR doesn't seem to include an igniter. Another brand does and the money's about the same. Not going to need it til Spring. If my parts show up soon I could be riding any day now! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  12. Nope. It's the place Private Mayo screamed about in An Officer and a Gentleman, "I got no place else to go!" I probably should snoop around KC for a purdy gal. I haven't seen an attractive age-appropiate gal in these parts in several years. ( maybe I need to drop the word gal from my vocabulary?) The other part is that Age appropriate part, To be appropriate now means even older than when I quit looking 10 years ago. I tried Match.com for a minute, was very popular with the over 55, over 200 lbs. Ladies. I chose celibacy over suicide :-( :-( And... with mornings like this I don't think I'll be doing any tent camping under the cell towers this year. But hey the weekend days look great if he really does get it done and ready to ride. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  15. Great news! They have my bike outside the door ready to come in next. He says couple more days. He says it'll be ready to climb on and head to Chimney Rock or the Ozarks or anywhere I'm ready to go! I walked in, flashed a big smile and told him I ordered my snowmobile suit... He laughed. Now he's agreed to go ride with me when I get it back. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  18. Crossing Central Missouri one night, a huge bullfrog jumped just so I nailed him 8" up smack in the center of the front tire. He exploded all over my legs and cooked onto the exhaust on my 650. Can hear the sound of that frog splat to this day! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  19. Made many emergency stops to get stinging creatures out of my shirt! Then there was the June bug that committed suicide on my forehead at 70 MPH... Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  22. I really did mow my lawn the day after he mowed his so mine would look better one day longer than his. It drove him nuts cuz he was working on that yard so hard for the first time in 50 years. He still laughs and laughs me for telling him what I was doing to him after about July Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  23. I told my story wrong. I told him that's what I was doing. Now days we tell each other about pranks we'd do to each other if we weren't so lazy. All bark, no teeth. I couldn't actually treat him that way. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  24. When Jimmy retired he tore up and graded his whole yard and put in all new sod. This spring he was obsessing over pulling the maple helicopters out of his grass everyday so they wouldn't seed. Every freaking morning he's out there with his leaf vac picking up 8 or 10 or 20 freaking helicopters. One day, getting almost to summer, I was pretended to fight with him about all the racket he makes, and he starts looking up in the tree and he says, " I don't see any more of these damn helicopters up there . where do they keep coming from?" I was forced to admit that I had kept one bag full of helicopters that I had picked up out of my driveway and every night for the previous two weeks I have been throwing a handful of them out in his yard for him to hunt down! If he hadn't asked about it I could have kept it going till September! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  25. I spent some time edgumicatin' him on it. The old fart thought it was two cycle.... he knows I call him that. He calls himself the old bohunk. Mostly because he's Jimmy B of Jimmy B Orchestra. For over 30 years he toured the Midwest and up Michigan Minnesota Wisconsin Nebraska playing with his Polka Band. He was even on that RFD channel. Me and Jimmy have a blast being what the neighbors call the Papillion version of Grumpier Old Men. We always let each other know when we're working on a ladder so that one or the other will cruise around the house and make sure we're not dead. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
