  2. Oh, and guess what! I was telling the story to my mechanic, while discussing the H1 sitting in front of us, that I had ordered the bike new, the first KZ650 in Lincoln and waited 2 months for it. He believes that his dad was my salesman for that 650! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  4. I had a Kaw 400 4 stroke pig. My buddy had an H1. Never did like that dog 400. Motivated me to get the 650. I still think she was gorgeous. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  5. He got lucky then! Good to know and I'll pass it along. I wouldn't ride on them either but a collector might like the all original aspect. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  7. Oh, and while I have your attention, someone gave me advice about a 100 degree for an hour or so fix for a TDI box. I shared that in conversation with my mechanic, who got another venture in and used that trick last week. Opened the box up, set it in the sun on Blacktop at 118 degrees. About an hour to 1.5 hr.. Plugged it back in and worked like a charm. Thank you for saving an anonymous Venture Rider some bucks! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  8. Cowpuc and I were reminiscing the other day. Needs going through but is for sale. Probably at collector prices... Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  9. Spotted in Omaha. 72 H1. Original miles! Original front tire II rear tire (might actually be able to find the original rear tire.) Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  10. Changed oil yesterday. Rode 75 miles and now this is new. It won't come off without a solvent. Am I missing a plug in that hole? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  11. Clean but I believe you. it's old oil in the other pic and dry after last night's quick trip. Thanks! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  12. Just able to get out 20 miles since adding 2/3 bottle of B-12 into about 4 gal' s gas. Carbs are dry. Ran well. Will see what the weekend brings but will still have carbs synched. Gonna get up and head out for a sunrise ride. One where I can take clothes off as the day warms rather than vice/versa Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  15. Flyinfool, its gas. Odoriffic! On my way to Wally's for High-tech. I like the emotion that includes, "ride it hard" best! Someone want to circle the drain screw on that photo for me? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  18. Mechanic says bring it in Monday and they'll "work it in" next week. Meanwhile, there goes a beautiful weekends weather with highs in the mid 70's... Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  19. The carb leak stopped then reappeared 300 miles later... Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  20. Yeah, I'm an idiot. Neither front nor rear had any pressure. I've set front at 11 and rear at 40. Haven't ridden it yet. Smelled gas when I first got it back from mechanic, running pretty good. Have put over 400 miles on before the tire replaced. Now, after a little ride I have a carb leaking again. So looks like one stuck float and a sync. away from real riding. (Or moving on to the next issue that crops up. She sat two years on a fresh carb rebuild. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
