  1. Looks like it has some strange looking front forks. I don't see two tubes above the front wheel? What do you guys think? I like the looks of it though. Will keep an eye peeled for this to hit the show room for sure. J.T. OK I just read the article. They are radical setup forks. Me likey!
  2. Looks to me like the s7 has a stainless cooling fins but no fan. Not the same as S5. Reviewers say they are flexible, and makes it easier to install, but don't know if they would cause a problem installing in the Venture with clearance J.T.
  3. I put a Shinko 777HD on the rear of my HD Fatboy. Only tire I could find 18" with the load rating I needed. Seems to be a good tire so far. On sale for 88.00. JU.T.
  4. I am interested in a RTE in June. Couldn't make the last one, but June could be a good deal. I will be watching this thread to see what others think. Thanks, J.T. 92 blue Venture
  5. Hi Casey, I had the same issue with my spacer on my 92 forks. It was beveled like you described. I asked about that on the other Venture Forum and was told it should be flat. I had put the forks back together before I got the answer back. Oh well. See the picture of what mine looked like and the answer I got back about what it should look like. Glad to hear you got yours straightened out. J.T.
  6. I would agree on trailering the bike back. Leaking fork seals can make a mess and you don't want to damage the forks if they are really bad. The bike has a few accessories that add a little value to some. I am not a big fan of all the lights on the bags but some are. The pictures are not great quality, so it makes it hard to tell true condition. He didn't take any close-ups and there may be a reason. I noticed it has a trailer hitch and I know these bikes can pull a trailer, but it would be something I would not be thrilled about. Just me. I have a 92 in this same color, and to me, this is the best color the Venture was painted. I hope it is a deal you can make. :fingers crossed:I hope you get it running and enjoy it. It sounds like you have the practice and experience with getting them up and running. Good luck, J.T.
  7. Dusty, How did you get the box split? I took the screws out of a spare TCI I have, and I could not get the halves to split apart. Thanks, J.T.
