    Lalkeland....where we were last time.

I put the pic of Lakelands business card on here with phone number, they don’t use online reservations anymore. I didn’t realize y’all stayed there, I thought you were at Kenlake Lodge last time.

  2. If anyone wants a regular hotel Murray is about 15 miles from Aurora. Best Western is usually the best bang for the buck. There are a few others.  Stay away from the Red Roof Inn, it’s a dump.

Just tried to see what was available, ....checking in Thursday the 6th and out Sunday the 9th and it said "Nothing available" ....???

    Which place did you check?

Wiz texted me and said Fin and Feather was filling up fast.
    Kenlake was at 50% yesterday.
    Lakeland was almost empty.

  4. The WNY Rally crew needs to come down, and the EH Team and MD regulars. Love to see everybody, we haven’t been together for quite a while. I’ve heard from some of the Vogel group hope to hear more.

  5. These places will fill up with fishermen soon so make reservations early. Most have a 48 hour free cancellation policy if plans change.

  6. June 5-9 2024 Aurora Ky.
Here are some lodging links and locations.
    Kenlake park lodge/cabins.

    Fin and Feather

These resorts are much cheaper than Kenlake lodge. I’m going to reserve a room at Fin and Feather, it’s clean and pretty nice. They have a covered pavilion with picnic tables and fireplace for the evenings. They have a few camper hookups with water/sewer/power but no bathhouse

Gary Drew’s stayed at Lakeland Resort last time and was happy with his room. Comparable prices with Finn and Feather, not as big but clean.
Early American I know nothing about but they stay busy with hunters and fishermen.

  7. RSV Lift Adapter with legs.
Install this lift adapter as usual, raise the bike, install the legs, and lower to the ground.
You end up with the bike on a stable platform with access to both sides of the engine, wheels, oil filter, etc. Tires approximately 5 inches off the ground. 23”x20 footprint for stability. Useful for maintenance, cleaning, and storing the bike with the tires off the ground. $185 delivered in the continental USA.

  8. I have a guard given to me by Kybigmac’s widow, so leave me out also. Still on the 07 with a matching Timeout trailer, plan to ride it into the ground. If it goes down I’ll replace it with another 2nd Gen. I have a cabinet full of spare parts and a pretty good knowledge of the 2nd gens so I have no incentive to start over learning another bike.

  9. Never got into cigars but made a lot of $$$ back in the 80’s working in the tobacco fields. Most of the tobacco grown here is dark fire cured for snuff but there was quite a bit of burley going to the cigar industry. Teenagers back then worked the fields for car and gas money, now it’s all mega farms and migrant workers. Hard dirty work but paid well.

  10. WKY Rally June 5-9 2024.
We’ll be based from the Kenlake State Park/ Land Between the Lakes National wildlife preserve. Lodging nearby including campgrounds, Kenlake Lodge and cabins, and multiple nearby smaller motels all within a 5 minute ride from the site.
Planning rides Wednesday thru Friday with Saturday being less riding and more visiting/eating to catch up with everyone we haven’t seen in a while.
Possible tours of Hannigan Motorsports factory and/or Boss Hoss trike factory if yall are interested.
Rides will be in Ky, Tennessee, and Southern Illinois. A ferry ride across the Ohio River to Cave in Rock State Park (you may remember that from Tom Sawyer) and Garden of the Gods in Illinois. Maybe another ferry across the Tennessee River to Boss Hoss.
    Other rides to be planned.

@RDawson This still in the plan.. I put it on my calendar so I can plan my work around this. Just checking if it's still in the works.

Yes, it’s a go. I just had my meeting with the neurosurgeon and I’m putting off my back surgery until after the rally.

  12. I’m on my third Nexen. Changed the first out at 20k when I installed the VMax pumpkin, it wasn’t worn out but I changed it while the wheel was off. Punctured the second one with 15k on it.

Sad about the shock. What windshield was on this? Do you have a bunch of the bolts for the body panels? What headlight and running lights? Sorry for all the ???s. I'm very interested in the other parts I asked about as well. Just gotta wait til after the holidays if possible for some $$$

Windshield trashed. All bolts went in my bolt bins for my use later. OEM lighting. I do have a Clearview medium height vented with light gray tint shield. I bought it new and used it one afternoon and decided I wanted a taller one. I installed a large and put the medium back in the box.
