I am 5'9. I am wider than tall... 😆. These were definitely a step up!

The picture of my bike looking at it from the front is the new Magnum Mirrors. The daylight pictures towards the bottom are with the old mirrors.

Definitely out further. The convex glass has kind of a panoramic view....a wider viewing area. Seriously, these were definitely worth the money. Better than stock IMO.

I am not worried about the wires anymore. I have that fixed. I am however concerned with how the Wolo mounts with my bracket. It basically just sits over the bolt. I am going to maybe straighten the bracket out so I can mount through holes rather than just slipping it over a bolt. Gonna try to figure out how to get it sitting straighter too. That crooked look drives me crazy! It will just take some modification of the bracket I'm sure. This Wolo Bad Boy Horn is bigger than it looks but it will sure get some attention! It's loud! Very loud! Exactly what I was looking for!

I bought the Wolo and got the harness and bracket from Larry but apparently they have changed the design of the Wolo because it is not install friendly! My better half thinks I am too picky but I don't like how it mounts. It mounts crooked! I broke one of the wires from Larry's harness but that's easily fixable. Just got to go get the other pc. Any does what I can do here? I am concerned that those wires are so close to the exhaust. I could probably deal with the way it sits.... Crooked. Don't mind the bare wire in the picture. I was just trying different ideas with everything. That's the pc I broke. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160725/8eb3aad8836ce41694b09bbc1f6a5e09.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160725/7f2ad699dd0fab2b5f941e31286731a8.jpg

Installed mine over the weekend. So far it works flawlessly! I am quite excited to not have to have something plugged in or charged! Not having to worry about my other Bluetooth going dead on my big ride in a few weeks makes me grin from ear to ear!

I have the convex glass. I really like them. Yes, they give a wider, more panoramic type view from the glass. Very much worth the investment.

The Kuryakyn Magnum plus mirrors are an oval mirror and I they are perfect for me! At speeds above 80 they do vibrate a little but I can still see clearly out of them. I have only one complaint and that is that I wish I would have paid better attention to the set screw on the side because I lost mine. I dont think I tightened it enough. Seriously though, you can't go wrong with these mirrors. Plenty big and look great.

Alot of you may laugh at this but here it goes..... I have a sweating problem. I am a bigger guy. 5'9, 290 lbs. Under Armor isn't an option for me. I may not EVER see these people that will see me but come on... I can't give us bikers a bad name with an image of me in Under Armor now can I? 😆 I did a little research and come up with sleeves. I bought a set of sleeves to try. I figure if they suck, I will throw them away or cram them in the luggage somewhere. I did buy a moisture wicking type material shirt just in case. NOT Under Armor material but kind of like that. That will be my back up plan.

I tried. They apparently were sold out. He was actually too lazy to go back and check his stock room. That's what I think anyway.

I got my JL Audio Bluetooth set up yesterday...just waiting for my other connections. Should be here tomorrow. Will probably try to install it Saturday night... Supposed to have a heat index here in Iowa of 120-130. Kind of excited to have a setup that I don't have to worry about recharging all the time.

Thanks. I will check that out. From the pictures they do look nice and cool.

The link didn't work. It only took me to the website. What kind of shirt is it? Thanks for your reply!

What do you guys use for riding shirts? I am looking for a long sleeve to protect from the sun better than sunscreen. My trip is coming up next month and I want to be prepared. Light, breathable material. I was thing like a rayon polyester blend. Just curious what you all use. Even a light jacket would be fine but my Fieldsheer is just to hot to wear in the summer.

I bought my set at a little ma & pa shop in a small town. It's not actually called EZ out. The ones I have are called Speed Out. I'm sure it's a knock off but it was a knock off that worked well. I will send you a picture of what mine loom like when I get home. -
Kinda what I figured most of you did. I will order mine today. Thanks.

So what did you all connect to behind the fairing so that it's not on all the time? Was it an easy install? Looks pretty easy but I am curious as to what hot wire you used and what ground you used behind the fairing. Thanks!

I got it out. I used an EZ out. Started the motor up, got it nice and hot and stuck the EZ out in and tapped it lightly to get it to seat in the Allen head. Took some force to break it loose but it didn't slip at all with the EZ out. Quite impressed with that little set! I didn't drill anything. Got lucky I guess. Now I need to find a new bolt. Thanks! -
I bought new twinkie covers and a good friend wants my old ones. I got the clutch side out and changed but I can't get the brake side loose and now I have stripped it out. I started the bike and let it get good and hot but it just wouldn't budge and now it's screwed...literally. I tried a torx bit but I can't get a good smack on the top of it to get it squared in the hole. I look down the hole on the bolt and it's just perfectly round. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Honestly Lenny, it's in the Agenda.... So far. I was telling the couple we are riding with that if we choose to go there, its a short jaunt from 112, Sardis Rd. The couple is going to check out the website and see what they think. It does look pretty cool!

What are some nice scenic roads to take when we leave Gatlinburg heading back to Nashville for a night?
-
Let me ask this... If I was to change my mind and NOT go north from Maggie Valley up to I40 and TN-32 would this be a better more scenic ride.... Leave Gatlinburg heading south and catch the Blue Ridge Parkway before Cherokee and ride that all the way to 112 (Sardis Rd) which is just south of Ashville, NC and ride 112 to 23 (Smokey Park Highway) back to Maggie Valley and up to Gatlinburg? Thoughts on that?
