  1. Thanks for the replies. As I was typing original post bike died in garage finished typing went out 3 mins max, started it and was running like normal????? Rode to work hope I'm not stranded later. Lol
  2. Hey All, Haven't riden in about two weeks, never an issue with the bike 07 RSV, 32k on the clock. Went out to leave for work and all it did was crank, then after a bit it sputtered and then started but only on full choke. Ran for a bit but never increased in rpm's as it does on choke, just slow running. choke in or throttle and it cuts right out I'm perplexed...Thoughts?
  3. The Kennedy set works great, be sure to order the correct size plug for your phone (3.5mm) I had one with a 2.5mm plug and used an adapter but it didn't work. once the bike was started, lot of static, Kennedy sent the correct size and it works like a charm
  4. Thanks for the info, lools like Iron Pony no longer carries them, nothing on the site, will have to start searching. can you send a picture of them?
  5. Hey samklr650, like the look of the oxford grips, do you have a part number that you ordered?
  6. Hey Guys, what type of heated grips did you use, I had them on my FJR and loved them, can't seem to find them for the RSV...Thanks
  7. I agree H2O you said it better than I did, was really surprised at how light the front end felt
  8. was able to get out the next day and did about 200 miles, stability was fine, still couldn't believe the difference in how it handled. It felt very light and responsive. No real highway riding but cruised a bit at 60 mph and felt very stable, no wobble at all. Hope to try it two up this coming weekend and will update further
  9. Mine was bad as well, under the right front body panel, had mine rebuilt for about 300 with a year warranty
  10. Well had the dealer install done on the tires this morning. 130/90-16 up front. WOW!!! felt like a totally different bike. Very nimble very responsive and the Michelin Commander II's are a very nice riding and handling tire. Very happy with the switch and would highly recommend going to the 130 up front . Only 50 miles on them so far, will add a couple hundred more tomorrow
  11. When added to the tank does it cause the engine to smoke like in the lawn mower demo??? How much should you use for a general cleaning and then for maintenance??
  12. Thanks Ricky, going to have them installed on Saturday and planning a day ride Sunday, will update
  13. Thanks for all the replys, leaning towards MC II with 130 in the front, just need to see how much the dealer is gonna need to do the install. Looks like Jake Wilson is the best deal for both so far
  14. Thanks utaventure.... Are you running radial or bias ply e3's
  15. Hey All, My eyes are bleeding from reading posts trying to figure out replacement tires for my 07 RSV. I have narrowed it down to Dunlap E3's or the Michelin Commander II. As I search for pricing I am seeing BIAS ply and or RADIAL?? Please forgive the stupidity, but isn't it a radial world??? Also thinking of going with a 130 up front, is the 130 size 130/19/16? Thanks for all thoughts on tire choice and size Gorski
  16. Hey All Looking for a compass (that works on the bike) that won't break the bank, I have tried a couple of cheapy type and the radio and/or engine seems to make it work in reverse. Any suggestions???
  17. Just ordered the Clearshield from John there, great to talk to, will see when it arrives
  18. Thanks for the replies, I am using a stock shield now and look through it, and am going to go with the same in the clearview, I like the idea of the vent. Gonna call and ask about the blem units they have
  19. Hey All Thinking of biting the bullet and shelling out the cash for the clearview shield, anyone have any insight on the best deal available?? Are they worth it?? Reviews seem to indicate they are Gorski
  20. Hey All Have noticed that the glare from the gas cap is spread across the windshield, really annoying at certain times of the day. Has anyone noticed this and what have you done to remedy the problem, can't seem to part with $30 for a leather cap for the cap. Suggestions???
  21. OK great thanks, gonna take a look at that for sure, will solve my Sirius radio lead dangling in the wind problem
  22. can you explain how you hooked up the splitter? or did you just use a splitter next to the cassette deck. thanks
  23. Yep same here, gonna try an touch base with Ed at EdSets again today
  24. Hey All, I have picked up a mic splitter cable from EdSets, Ed is a great guy to talk to and deal with btw, I have connected it inline via the aux line and plugged into my Garmin Streetpilot c550. I get nothing through the helmet. I use a 2.5mm female to 3.5mm male adapter and plug it into my Iphone and I can make calls on the phone with the bike turned on BUT not running. When I start the bike there is terrible background/wind sounding noise on the receiving end of the call. Today when I rode I am hearing a clicking type sound through the system like the old time radio noise back in the day with nothing hooked into the new cable from Ed. Any thoughts?? Am I missing something on how to hook up the GPS...Driving me knuts Thanks
  25. Thanks for all the replies, think a tank bag of sorts is in order
