Hi Everyone Another productive weekend on the Bike Build I have the Front Subframe and Dash assembly back on the Bike and Got to work adding the New Controls and Masters onto the Handlebars I was able to Fish the wires inside the Handlebars so the only things that will be outside are the throttle cables and Clutch and Brake hoses. Now that all the plumbing is complete I filled the rad with Coolant and found 1 small leak on the Lower Pipe that slips into the bottom of the Thermostat housing I pinched and damaged the O-ring when I installed it. tore it back apart and put in a new O-ring and all was good. Fired up the engine to purge the air and so far all is good Temp came up just under the half way mark on the Gauge so all is good. Sorted out some of the wiring so I can adapt the new controls in and now it is just a matter of cutting and Splicing the wires I will re-purpose the Radio control switch to use for the venture Cruise. Replaced the old Fuse Block with a new ATC blade Fuse 12 Fuse Block This will be relocated in the left fairing along with the Ignition module. Also extended the main fuse Wire to the New Fuse Block to have the Main 20A fuse in the new Fuse block as well. Went to work on the Headlight Frame and Bezel to Fit the new LED Headlight it is Nice and Bright. Video attached is the bike Idling at about 750-800 RPM Thanks for all the Comments so far. My wife and I have made it to Rozwell NM Saturday, and it finally got warm enough for us to ride some this afternoon. I got the ride off the trailer, and we loaded up to head out. I fired it up, gave it some fuel, hit the switch, and for the first time ever, I slung gravel everywhere IN REVERSE!!! I love this Trike having a reverse on it, and I had to brag on what Hannigan Trike did for us when they added the reverse to it. Sorry, no pictures yet. Steve.1 point

So my wife decided that we needed a new recliner. Well, we DID need a new recliner. Mine was completely shot and it you reclined it too far back, it would fall over. We had been looking for a while because she has very determined tastes on what she likes. We had been to a few furniture stores and she couldn't find what she wanted. So....enter Facebook Marketplace. She found two almost brand new and, according to here, PERFECT matching recliners on Facebook. They were a bit far, only in Pennsylvania but the price was very good and she negotiated a great deal on them. So. yersteay, I had to go get them. Well, I can be in Pennsylvania in about an hour or so. No big deal. NO NO NO. They are not just across the PA line. They are in Shavertown, PA. Almost 4 hundred miles from. my house. So I left around 4 yesterday morning, drove the 800 mile round trip and got home at 4 yesterday afternoon. Add to all of that the fact that Mother Nature decided to drop a load of snow on me on my return trip. By the time I got back to about 120 miles from home, I was passing multiple cars in the ditches. Now the chairs are beautiful and were a fantastic deal but rest assured, we had a little talk when I finally made it back home and there are now some definite limits on how far away she can search on Facebook Marketplace. What made it worse was that I only slept about 2 hours the night before I left. Just one of those rare, for me, nights that I just couldn't sleep.1 point

What is it that you have complaints about,,,, you got up early to extend the day, you got in a real nice road trip and could see and visit places you hadn't seen for some time or not at all, you got to meet some really nice people you have never met before, you had nice weather and crappy weather, you got some nice chairs in the process and you made your wife happy, and you were able to nap when it was all done, along with the fact that you spent the money so you don't have to worry over what to do with that now. You had an awesome day!!1 point

How to remove the carburetors from the '99 to present Royal Star Venture Thanks to Cougar for this excellent article. This was my first time removing the carb cluster from my 2000 RSV. This project took me about 30 to 40 minutes to do including the seat and tank removal. I think it is a pretty easy job to tackle. I tried to take as many pictures as I could. In the write up I used only 2 instead of 5. You will get the idea. 1. Remove the seat and fuel tank. 2. Now you will see the cable and cord clamps. Remove all the screws shown below. 3. No need to remove these screws. 4. Remove this hose from the right surge tank. 5. Now loosen the clamps on the front of the surge tanks (2) as shown below. 6. Now loosen all four clamps on the bottom of the surge tanks that are attached to the top of the carbs in four places, one on each carb. 7. These wires and hose will go towards the middle. 8. Pull the left and right wires and hoses to one side of the surge tanks. Do not worry, they will stretch far enough. 9. Now remove the tank surge union. 10. Now start wiggling and pulling up on each surge tank. 11. Remove one vent hose on each surge tank and then they will be free and out of the way. 12. Remove both left and right overflow hoses from each carb. 13. Next, split apart the two wire connectors on the left side front of the carbs. I think that they are heater and sensor wires. I always have hated the black connectors. 14. Now the fun part. Loosen both nuts on the throttle cable housing. (NOTE: REMEMBER AND MARK THE TOP AND BOTTOM) in the pictures I just remembered that the top nut and lower nut are different. 15. Remove the fuel line from the three holders. 16. Remove these two bolts off the right front carb. NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE THESE TWO SCREWS! (these are to hold the cover on for the carb diaphragm) 17. Loosen all 4 lower clamp screws on the bottom of each carb. 18. Now lift slightly on each side, left and right. 19. Start to pull from the left side about half way and then remove the fuel line that is on the rear middle of the carb cluster. 20. Now the carbs are free from everything. Pull them the rest of the way out from the left side. 21. Find a bucket and turn the carbs over to drain them. 22. Find your favorite work bench and place your carbs on it. 23. Do not forget to fill your intake manifolds with something that will not fall apart to keep the junk out of them. Just a side note for the float bowls. You will need a 4mm hex to remove the 3 screws. The cone shaped brass caps above the hex wrench come off for adjusting the mixing screws. Also, I want say PLEASE make any other comments or suggestions so that Don can add them to this write-up. I hope I explained this for you well.1 point
