Thought that I would never get rid of my 99 but after getting my 2018 third gen I only put about 1,000 miles on it last year. Setting around that much isn't good for any bike. This is the latest I have waited to get out for my first ride. Went out for 1&1/2 hours . Will be ridding to Kitchener tomorrow to meet up (hopefully)with @ReinyRooster & @XV1100SE1 point

Did over 200klm yesterday on my first ride yesterday! Met up with @ReinyRooster and @XV1100SE for coffee and pick up replacement pillow top seats (mine ripped between buttons) also got a Utopia back rest. Met up @Marcarl and had a visit with him and his wife Marca also! @XV1100SE is thinking about getting our meet ups started again here in our area!1 point

Just a suggestion, but I would advise to let the frame cure for a couple of weeks at least. The paint may feel dry and hard but it will take a bit of time to fully cure. Putting the engine in is going to cause a bit of stress on the new paint. I also would be interested in what sites you founds the bushings. Nice job so far, lots of work but will be very satisfying.1 point
