spear Posted July 3, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 3, 2008 Hey guys. A couple of pix of a 2nd Gen in Central Australia - trailer and all. The owner/rider is Larry who has just joined us under the name Wedge. This is how you travel in Oz - in style!
Freebird Posted July 3, 2008 Share #2 Posted July 3, 2008 Nice pictures and a big welcome to Larry. Now, where are the ROOS?
spear Posted July 3, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted July 3, 2008 Hey Don, They're all dead on the side of the road. Never seen so much road-kill. Nobody drives or rides out here after sundown, unless you're pushing a 150ft road train. Those things cruise through the day and night at 130km/hr and stop for nothing. As I pulled in to Longreach in Queensland on my trip, I decided to count the roadkill in the last 15kms before town. Counted 58 carcasses - mostly roos. Sling Posted July 5, 2008 Share #7 Posted July 5, 2008 Nice set up You might want to put one of those "Hopper Stopper's" on the front of your bike!!
whozleft Posted July 5, 2008 Share #8 Posted July 5, 2008 That does look like a huge trailer. Good thing he got the right bike to pull it with.
spear Posted July 6, 2008 Author Share #9 Posted July 6, 2008 Actually, the trailer is not that big. In the second shot the size is exaggerated by the fact that it's shot with a wide-angle (18mm) lens. The first shot is a truer perspective. All up I think Larry said it weighed 125kg (1/3 the dry weight of the bike).
