mike042 Posted February 27 Share #1 Posted February 27 Got new tires and i had someone else mount them for me, i didn't notice til i was putting them back on bike that the rear tire is reverse on direction of travel. It rides handles great . My question is it worth it break the bead and change it ,or just ride it that way.
BlueSky Posted February 27 Share #2 Posted February 27 (edited) I'd get it reversed. Edited February 27 by BlueSky

BratmanXj Posted February 27 Share #4 Posted February 27 Just to clarify... You looked at the "direction of travel" arrow on the tire and it is mounted backwards for the rear tire? Yes, definitely have it fixed. IF you are comparing the front tire tread pattern to the rear tire tread pattern, those would be reverse of each other. The front tire would have the force working against it when braking vs the rear tire having the forces propelling it when accelerating, hence "reversed" construction from a front tire vs rear tire.
