Trying to find out what I have

I bought my first bike and it is a 2000 Royal Star Venture. My problem is the title says it is a 1600 cc engine. I had a vin check done on it and it came back as a 1600 cc engine. But when i run the vin decoder on it it is the 1300 cc vin # and there are no 1600 cc options for that year. any one have any thoughts?

There was no royal star venture made with a 1600cc motor.  Is it a water cooled 4 cylinder?

What I found is that it was a Road Star not necessarily a Venture: Yamaha XV1600A - Wikipedia

A Title got a typo some where down the line.  If it were me, I'd plead stupid, title and plate it, and carry on.

Post a picture of your bike, we can then confirm to you what you purchased. I have seen many RoadStars listed as RoyalStars and vice versa on Craigs list and other places.
