Fire It Up

Hey All,

Well, when the low temperature was down to -20 today in Northern Michigan you have to do something for fun.

Drove down state today to check out the New Venture.

Ray at Stevens Cycle was Courtious explaining everything to me about the new Venture, then said my favorite three letter words, you can "Fire It Up". Same as gentlemen "Start Your Engines" to me.

Wow, nice sounding bike, and man does it ever have All the Equipment anyone would need on a touring motorcycle.

It was the beautiful color of Raspberry, like my 03 RSV.

Very Great looking with lots of storage, especially in the trunk, and Heated Seats, etc, etc, etc., oh man I may be in trouble again.

Sounds like you had a BLAST Red!! Gotta LOVE them bike shops!! Attaching a couple vids of cut away of the SVTC engine just for your enjoyment.

Here also are a couple pictures of what we frostbitten (thanks Flyinfool) trapped folks over on the westside do with our spare time while its wayyy to cold to Venture down to the bike shop like you did!! It's never to cold to build AR15's or enjoy getting ready for shooting clays with the Christmas present I got Tip :hihi:DSCN7947.JPGDSCN7960.JPGDSCN7963.JPGDSCN7965.JPGDSCN7966.JPG!!!

I wouldn't buy it without a test ride. It would have been a perfect day for one in that balmy -20 degree weather.

Oh and what were you doing going the the bike shop? Don't you have some cement cutting and jack hammering to do?

Lol, with the roads being what they are, they wasn't to eager to let that pretty shinny motorcycle leave the show room.

Said to Ray, the temp wouldn't bother me, I put on a 250 mile day at 7 degrees, road many times in cooler weather.

Guess I will wait until spring for a test ride.

Steve, shooting a AR15 sounds like it would have been alot of fun also today, instead of Venturing down the road (lol). Thanks for the photos and awsome informative video, really enjoyed them. Stay warm, Later-

My mother has a small cottage in central Indiana and there's a HD / Yamaha dealer about 15 miles away on my usual route down. I stopped in on my '99 RSV on a Friday after work while the wife was driving down with the rest of the family. I was thrown the keys to a new demo Venture on the floor, told the sales guy if I left with the bike it wouldn't come back till the end of the weekend. I wonder what the wife would have said if I pulled in on the new bike?
