Bassett Posted December 31, 2016 Author Posted December 31, 2016 does anyone have sight glasses for these? if not, ok i know where to get them.
Bassett Posted December 31, 2016 Author Posted December 31, 2016 (sorry one picture is upside down!!) Ok, so my bike is under construction right now. I have finished the plastic repairs, and I will be priming for paint shortly. My trim pieces and vents are painted. All my chrome is polished. Still working on getting my one side case open. Today was re-finishing my master cylinders.. They're not ready to install yet on the bike because I am waiting on sight glasses, and the one company sent me a clutch master rebuild instead of a brake master, so I have to get that squared away after the new year. next steps will be: - priming for paint -painting (black cherry pearl) -refinishing/rebuilding forks. -rebuilding slave cylinder -frame/engine recondition/tune up -installing new tires and battery - putting it all back together!!! Maybe I'll throw a Bike Party and get some help for the last couple of things for time's sake. -Alex
snyper316 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Ok I just have to ask what is this powder you are speaking of? How do you replace the site glass I would love to do that with mine so I can see my levels without removing the lid.
Yammer Dan Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 I've seen several threads on the sight glasses. Do a search on them. Should be places to buy them included in those. Those masters sure look good.
videoarizona Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Well done! Wish I could do that. Really adds a nice look.

Powercoat is a type of coating that that is applied in powder form then cooked to achieve a strong, durable, smooth finish. Sight glasses- 17.5mm diameter x 2.5mm thick. Best is from a watchmaker who will give you glass.. hope that helps! Anyone near me want their master cylinders, lower forks, brake calipers, or any other odd or end powdercoated I have a wide range of colors avaiable if you're interested!
